I've played a Elves!.dec as well. In my opinion Nath's Elite, Allosaurus Rider, Voice of the Woods, Titania's Chosen and Headless One aren't strong enough by far to be represented in such a deck.

What do you think about following Card:

Eladamri, Lord of the Leaves (vs RG and other aggro-decks often a matchwinner)
Brass Herald (Card Advantage + Aggro)
Kamahl, Fist of Krosa -> even better than Overrun
Fierce Empath -> Kamahl or Brass Herald

In my opinion Nath's Elite, Allosaurus Rider, Voice of the Woods, Titania's Chosen and Headless One aren't strong enough by far to be represented in such a deck.

Nath - I like as a second, and stronger, Taunting Elf. Has broken more than one stalemate.

Allosaurus Rider - included originally to add some beef, but I am not terribly attached to it.

Voice of the Woods - very much a "swing" card, but again I have no attachment to it.

Titania's Chosen - good as long as it stays in play for at least a couple of turns... it's those couple of turns sometimes...

Yes, but it renders other cards in the deck (Wirewood Lodge, Elvish Herder, Timberwatch Elf) useless. Privileged Position (present) is stronger and harder to remove.

Brass Herald (Card Advantage + Aggro)

Seems to me to be a worse Sylvan Messenger (which is already present), and its lingering effect is fragile as it is easily removed.

Kamahl, Fist of Krosa -> even better than Overrun
Fierce Empath -> Kamahl or Brass Herald

Agreed that Kamahl is Overrun on a stick, but (a) is not an Elf so it neither participates in, nor benefits from, any of the deck's Elf effects, (b) essentially is a 6GGGGG OR 2-turn Overrun, and (c) is easily removed.

If neither Kamahl nor Herald are present, then the Empath has even fewer targets to fetch.

Selesnya Guildmage > Golgari Guildmage

Golgari already present, and pulling its weight nicely. Best Black effect is to sac an Elf or Insect token. Considered Selesnya; without the white effect it's simply an expensive token producer... not necessarily bad, however... although I like the other token makers (there are 6 of them; 7 if you include Voice of the Woods) better.

Priest of Titania !!!

Why? Cards like this are often best for spells with X in the CC; the only one in this deck is Chord of Calling.

Not bad... but I don't have any!

Slate of Ancestry (Cardadvantage)

All good suggestions... The staff is definitely good on its own, although I would not put it in purely for the hope of interacting with the creatures you indicate. The Slate and Coat are definitely in the "probably going in" category.

trust vazdru.. i´ve played against his elf deck. and rofellos, priest and to be killed as soon as possible, slate of ancestry if it stays it probably wins you the game.
eladmari is a pain in the ***.. u just have to wog him, otherwise it´s pretty difficult, and i you play against deck that has forest.. forestwalk is very important.
brass herald also very good.

algo u should try chameleon colossus.

It's a combination of Sylvan Messenger + Gaea's Anthem for the cost of 6 Mana - i've never had regrets to have it in my elves!.dec

Better than Overrun cause you can "counter" Wrath, Damnation, Pernicious Deed by animating some lands of your opponent. If you play Gaea's Cradle, Roffelos, Priest of Titania it's sometimes easy to play Kamahl 3rd round and have that Massremoval-Interruption like i told before

K you're right - Selesyna gets his power through white mana. But he's by far the strongest guildmage in an Elves.dec - i play Birchlore Rangers, Wirewood Channeler and Joiner's Adept + some multilands (City, Gemstone..)

Btw - i play also Mirror Entity - another nice option to spend your XXX-Mana of Priest, Rofellos, Cradle to

OK - excellent suggestions all... I have already put in the Chameleon Colossus (I actually had been considering it before anyway, and your discussions definitely pushed me over) rather than the Allosaurus Rider, and the Slate of Ancestry (which, you're right; is huge; it has served extremely well in that MW Soldier deck I posted elsewhere) in for the banned Jitte.

Am definitely giving serious thought to the others (Priest, Rofellos, Kamahl...) you guys have offered. Thanks!

try them out,
by 3rd turn with rofellos, u can have 6 mana, thats a lot

Argh! I was surprised to see that I have no copies of Priest of Titania in my collection.    But I did find a Wirewood Channeler (which has the advantage of producing other colored mana if need be), and it's already made a noticeable difference. Rofellos; I knew I didn't have it, and I will keep an eye out for copies of both it and the Priest.

And for this particular build, I finally (duh!!) thought of Murmuring Bosk; so in went a copy of that also. So far Kamahl hasn't yet gone in although I suspect he will, so the current build (sideboard shows those cards that are fighting for inclusion) is attached.
