Hello friend,
have you tried to play Highlander all-common?
I would like to know your opinion about this format. We play it with at least 101 cards in deck, but don´t you think, that 60 cards in deck is enough (because many cards (uncommon, rare) is already restricted)?
Thank you for your answer.
I think you're essentially talking about a HL/Pauper fusion.
Off the top of my head, why not? But I see it only as a casual once-in-while kind of thing, similar to some of the offbeat formats we sometimes use in our local group (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/njveteranmages/ (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/njveteranmages/)). I don't know if it has enough richness and variety to support an entire ongoing format, but hey I've been wrong before.
As to 60 versus 100 cards, I don't see this argument being more or less relevant here than in any other "singleton" approach, but personally I prefer 100 (or, in your case, 101; and why one more card by the way?) rather than 60 as it tends to enrich the matches in my opinion.
