Anyway, I've been wondering for months now... what is Karma (indicated near each post's originator) on this site; what do the +/- values mean, etc.?

well, basically it´s a form of "feedback". if people like you they click on [applause] and you get +1 if they dont like you, or didnt like a thing u did/a post u created/ a comment/ etc they click on [smite]..
At least its what i think it is :P
But probably sturmgott or vazdru has a better insight of that
