Sorry, but I have the deadline for my bachelor thesis next week, so this weekend was busy. I hope we can play tomorrow, today I can't.

I think you forgot Dromoka's Command whitch I would put into every GW-Creature-deck... and since 4c-Blood is Tier 1 I would place the command on top of your list.

@tonytahiti: I think this is the right place for my answer.

when replying to a post and talking about "legit arguments" one should make sure to actually check at least the two last pages of results. eggs won 2 times (you overlooked one) and conceded once in the finals to a friend (you couldnt know that). toffel i think played 5 tournaments with eggs and effectively won 2/3. and those are not small tournaments. people have been frustrated with academy for awhile here, its not just my sentiment. i would like to know who you are (i am sure you are from berlin, otherwise you wouldnt dare/claim to have an actual mattering opinion on this), we can have a discussion in private then.

You know, I did not want to say that the deck is not broken or that Academy should not be banned. I do not have a valid knowledge about that. I am not from berlin and I just tested the deck some time on cockatrice now. The problem I have with your arguments are (well besides that your way of arguing in this forum seems a bit harsh to me) that they are based on the results of just one player. And this player is a realy good player. Since highlander-tournaments tend to be not that competetive its no wonder to me that good players can earn good results quite often. Patrick Richter is the best example for that. But the difference could be ("could" be, this is just a theory) that his decks look more "fair" to the average player because it does not win out of nothing. I can understand that many players get annoyed if they are looking forward to their next turn to play their final burnspell or nice planeswalker or whatever, and then suddenly realize this turn will never happen...

Then again your argument, Eggs is making people stay at home instead of playing the tournament looks weird to me. I would expect the good players, which are confidant to make a good place at the tournament, to prepare for the metagame. There are definately good ways to fight Eggs... But then, the tournament before there were so few players, there was no Eggs-Deck.

I agree with you, it is a strong deck! And it is on the borderline to be broken, maybe it is. I try to figure that out by playing it at the online league. I think we need more results in different environments to see the truth.

I would risk to wait till the Metagame Masters... After that, maybe we know! I just hope some players bring their eggs to the tournament! ;)

btw. if Toffel played 5 tournaments with eggs and won 2... how do you come to the conclusion he won 2/3?

5 Player FNM (attendance is rapidly decreasing after eggs warped berlin format)

Looks like an easy explanation to me... When I look at your results in berlin, I see only one first place of Eggs. And its a quite new deck. Players didn't know it and did not prepare for it. Sorry, but your arguments just don't seem legit to me! Do you really think there would have been like 15 players at this tournament if Academy was banned?  ::)

I am verry impressed by this decklist: http://mtgpulse.com/event/18942#266573
The Oath of Druids seems to be insane, since it wins if you get LED into your grave when you mill yourself with it. Tabris, can you give us some information how the deck perfomed? Was Oath as crazy as I would expect?
And did I miss something or do you realy have a problem if you do not hit the LED when you mill the first time to get Salvagers? Because the second time you deck yourself, right?

So sad you do not make any primergames on youtube anymore, would love to see that list... Maybe you can do something similar on PMTG in coalition with Toffel.  ;)

Ok, now here is my report to the games versus Baghira. I played Izzet Fish/Skies he was playing 4 color Blood or something like that (well, it was more like a GBWr-Goodstuff I think).

Game 1
I won the die roll and kept my hand with just one land (island) but with Preordain, FoW and cheap Burn. He took the free mulligan.
I found Mountain and a Foothills on top with Preordain and took the Fetchland by sending the mountain to the bottom.
He played Misty Rainforest and passed.
I drew Island and played it. I had no business in hand. Just burn, Force and Standstill so I passed the turn.
In his upkeep I used Fire/Ice as a cantrip.
He played Inquisition of Kozilek and took Magma Jet.
I played Fathom Seer next turn as a morph. Good Feeling with FoW in hand.
He then played Doran and I thought should be able to handle a 5/5 Vanilla... but in fact I wasn't. I got rid of most other stuff he got by countering it or burning it down, but in the end I underestimated Doran.
When I played Blood Moon he responsed with Swords for my last chumpblocker and then just played Chandra for the win.

game deciding card: Doran
0:1

Game 2:
I started and kept a quite good hand. No counterspells but Blood Moon, TNN, Snapcaster, Inkfathom Infiltrator and Izzet Charm.
He startetd with Godless Shrine and Thoughtseize. He took TNN (obv).
Since he was allready on 16 in my second turn I took my chance to play fast. I played the Infiltrator and he had another fetchland and Bitterblossom.
I had Rift Bolt, so when it was my third turn, he was on 9 lifepoints. I had no third land for Moon, so I played Winter Orb and attacked. He was on 6 lifepoints when it was hes turn.
His boardpresence was huge and he had a removal for my critter plus he had more advantage of my Orb because he had Sylvan Caryatid and Noble Hierarch.
I could do nothing but hope to draw th burnspell.
He had 3 Faeries and Xenagos.
With Izzet Charm I found Preordain and in my last possible turn I got Chain Lightning to get him to 1 lifepoint. Bitterblossom did the rest.
His cards and board were better the whole game, but he had too much lifeloss by his own cards. If he hadn't played Blossom he would have won.

Game deciding card: Bitterblossom
1:1

Game 3:
He started. I took the free mulligan. I had removal for his Deathrite Shaman and then played Top plus Gitaxian Probe. So I knew he had a quite slow hand. Forked Bolt took care of Lingering Souls and my Phantasmal Image made me a Lotus cobra. Lignering Souls' Flashback got countered.
I got some card advantage with Gush and quality advantage with the Top+Fetchlands.
I then had Guttersnipe and was able to bounce his Ooze when he already removed all creatures.
He had voice of Resurgence but I countered the trigger when it died with Stifle.
When he was able to stabilize the board by removing Guttersnipe he allready caused to mutch damage so the burn I found in my Top shipped it home for me.

game deciding card: Guttersnipe
2:1

Hmm... I saw that in some videos of you before already, but sometimes, I think you mull to defensive, especially with aggro decks.
Just saw the first one by now, but why did you not put away the second mountain?
You knew at that point that you would draw 6 cards before you have to play your third land... And getting flooded is deadly for the deck.

49:

Georg (5c ABC) 2:0 Payron (Stax)

First game he had Stoneforge Mystic, but thanks to Dark Confidant, I got solutions to each card he had. Copied his Batterskull with Phyrexian Metamorph and destroyed all his creatures.

Second game was a crazy draw, especially because Stax plays not many spotremoval. So my Birds attacked turn 3 with Sword of F&F. Later Sword of F&I joined the pary.

PS: I created a new deckname: 5c ABC, because a kid in elementary school can build this deck. ;) Just take the best...

LasH (GW Tokenmania) vs. Georg (HermitPlasm)

1:2

G1: He got Parallax Wave plus new Garruk. I found no answer to his answers. ^^

G2: Turn 1 Hermit via Elvish Spirit Guide. Took me to turn 3 till I could activate cause I neather had black mana nor 2 creatures in play.

G3: Chord of Calling with Force backup. I knew he had Path to Exile.
