I still think that I draw too much lands too often. I was thinking of putting in something like land grant. Has anyone had any positive results with it.

I tried to build something like this before it turned into ug skies. That just might work better than my former midrange thingy. The problem I had with the deck was it's slowness until it got some meat into the counter.

In addition to river boa try mire boa. There should be swamps as there is islands.

Also yavimaya elder is decent blocker/card advantage.

I haven't got to test it, but against aggro i think it should be okey, problem is that meta here is more control and it may give too much time for opponent to get control.

Meaby, but only deck whit black and not playing blue i can recall is goblin, and im not realy sure if walk even matters against it.

well i think of first should decide wether this is an aggro or a mid range deck, because i think this decks isnt either because of some cards choices. i´d go for a more aggro style cine u say your meta is more control, thus cutting cards like:

capsize
ravenous baloth
indrik stomphowler
control magic
treachery
plow under
life from the loam

and definitely adding some of the cards you mention you´re trying to get.

Try this and let us know. Also if this doesnt work you still have the option of going more control than aggro.

Because of my own preferenses id make midrange, but id like to make ug deck that can win. Oh yeah one thing i have been wondering is that should i make it madness.

I would cut

* Roar of the Wurm (too much gy-hate around - not strong enough)
* Plaxmanta (i don't like it ;) what about Kira)
* Gigapede
* Bonded Fetch

and play more basic lands! A combination of lands like Simic Growth Chamber + Back to Basics scaring me  :o ???

Worth testing/trying:

* Venser (better than Mystic Snake)
* Pact of Negation
* Veldalken Shackles
* Upheaval

Well, you shouldn't cut Pact but stuff like Crystal Shard or Tsabo's Web instead. I'm not too fond on Thornling either, and Annul can sit in your hand for a long time. Is Rushing River really needed? Rampant Growth and Into the North are both better than Edge of Autumn, Three Visits is another Nature's Lore if you happen to have one. Coalition Relic is great too. You absolutely should play Deep Analysis as card draw, it's way better than Harmonize (and Concentrate). I would try Future Sight, Tidings and Mind Spring too.

A friend of mine plays the deck also in real life so it happends that I can play the build from time to time ... When I played the deck I always ask myself if you couldn t add W with a splash do get some more control parts roling (because your only mass removel is Upheavel) and you can ramp your mana anyways + you can play enlightning tutor and goods like faith fetters ... I never tryed it because I am not the control guy but I played b2b in my UGw survival and didn t had so much ramp stuff out there ... well anyways to your build:

Thornling isn t so good in my opinion and rude awakining gave some unespected wins. Pact od Negation was always nice in the deck because you just get the mana fast what means that the spell is fast avalible and later on you my have a not to much cards in you hand anymore so you just don t care. I mean it is a basic land ramp, but in my opinion LoA fits also here I mean if you draw something what handels it LoA drawed alrdy some cards or the 1 land just doesn t matter. Actualy I also liked the stifel just because you could handle some fetchies .. and you also find some target ... annul is nice and I guess taht would just be a personal desicion (but a laying b2b and countering a fetchie just keeps the manascrew of your opponent up)

that was just my thoughts about the deck :)

Well, I just post my UG-Deck. As you can see I ve added a little fearie plan to the deck. So Mistbind Clique, Spellstutter Sprite, Scryb Ranger (this guy is awesome) Fearie Harbringer and Pestermite doing a good job for me, especially with rancor.

I differ from the most UG builds (with ramp stuff, upheveal, meloku, genesis etc.) bc I want to have a good aggro deck which can also beat pure control. So my meta here (berlin/germany) is most like ww, boros, monoR, aggro loam, so as you can see there is a lot of aggro on the road, so thats why my deck is just a answer to most of them, i think. We have some controlish decks like oath, but no staxx or something like 5cPlaneswalker etc.
