REPORT
Match 1 vs. Tobias Müller with 4c Blood
Game 1: He mulligans to six and I'm able to keep him off of red and black mana due to Tectonic Edge, Wasteland and Acidic Slime. My bigger creatures win the game.
Game 2: He mulligans to six again but manages to power out Thundermaw Hellkite on turn 3 thanks to Lotus Cobra. I try to race the Hellkite and his follow-up Loxodon Smiter with Thrun and a 5/5 Mistcutter Hydra while Scavenging Ooze and Deathrite Shaman gain me some life (from the chump blocking small ground creatures on either side). He has two turns to draw into burn/removal, but doesn't so I can win this one.
Match 2 vs. Zahedinour, Kewan with Dredge
Game 1: Krovikan Horror teams up with Bloodghast, nether shadow and unearth dudes team up to first kill my elves and then me.
Game 2: He starts dredging early but fails to find relevant stuff on the first couple of tries which gives my big creatures enough time to kill him.
Game 3: His start of crop rotation searching bazaar of Baghdad is crazy (a discussion evokes if this is the best start in the entire format. Opinions??), but I manage to search for scavenging ooze via fauna shaman shortly after. The ooze eats all his relevant graveyard stuff and finishes the game as 10/10 monster.
Match 3 vs. Benny Kaiser with Mono U control
Game 1: I have a fast start with Thragtusk and Deathrite Shaman eating away his life total. He plays Back to basics which shuts of almost all my lands (one forest and elves of deep shadow and birds of paradise to keep deathrite going). He casts bribery trying to find a creature which has etb trigger to gain life. As I have drawn Pellakka Wurm and already played Thragtusk he opts for wurmcoil engine but realizes that this would give me enough time to kill him with the shaman. So he has to settle for obstinate Baloth as his bribery target, which manages to trade with Thragtusk, but the shaman deals the last points of damage as he fails to find an answer for it.
Game 2: I ramp up early to lot of mana but he makes his lands drop every drop turn while keeping 5+ cards all the time signaling countermagic. I try to keep him busy by casting some spells into his counters when I draw Mistcutter hydra which does its best uncounterable, repeatable 7 damage Fireball impression. He manages to find Solemn Simulacrum and batterskull to block the Hydra but this opens the window for me to play Ruric Thar, the Unbowed which he can't beat in the given situation once it hit the board.
Match 4 vs. Dirk Schäffer with 4c Blood
Game 1: I play a Thragtusk which he kills with swords to plowshares. I manage to deal some damage with the token but he stabilizes and is slowly turning the race in his favour with his freshly summoned Falkenrath Aristocrat. Fortunately for me I draw Ruric Thar which he has to vindicate essentially timewalking himself by using up 3 of his 4 mana while taking 6 damage in a race situation. He doesn't recover from this.
Game 2: I have a slow start after he plays swords on my deathrite shaman and I fail to hit a land with courser of kruphix several turns in a row. His turn two dark Confidants grants him about one million cards but is kind enough to reveal only high casting costs spells (Thundermaw, Sorin BW) which puts him on dangerously low life. I have an outside chance of winning with his confidant if I sacriifice my board in a gang chump block, but he has the path to exile so knight of reliquary and friends can kill me.
Game 3: I have a sick start of one drop elf into growth spasm into Vraska, the Unseen which kills his turn two bitterblossom. He kills Vraska with Ajani Vengeant which in return gets killed by my elf. I cast Karn Liberated on turn five which eats away his hand cards and threats. He tries to fight back with aven mindcensor (blocking my fauna shaman) und treetop village but a freshly drawn Thrun gives Karn room to breathe and take over the game.
Comments/questions/additions are welcome
Your decklist seems innovative. Would be nice if you could share it with us. Preferably upload it to mtgpulse.com (but posting it here would be fine to).

The deck is pretty strong imho (Last two tournament 4-0). The worst matchup is UR, because they have arc trail and bribery. I especially like that you manage to fit so many lifegain spells (Thragtusk, courser, primal command, Wurmcoil, Pelakka wurm, obstinate baloth) to make for a great mono red matchup without hurting the other matchups (because the lifegain spells shine in other matchups too).
The deck looked a lot different when Natural Order was still legal (with more big guys like terrastodon and ramp cards like somberwald sage). Now it is shifting more and more to planeswalkers (new Garruk rules, but unfortunately new Nissa doesn't).
I would love to fit in Wild Growth and Utopia Sprawl as more one drop ramp which can't be hit by the common removal spells, but I don't know what to cut (don't want to swap them for other one drops, since you always want to play an elf turn one).
Cards I'd love to include but have no room for:
- Demonic Tutor (maybe for sylvan scrying)
- Sensei's divining top
- Beast Within
- BG or mono G God
- Wolfbriar Elemental
- Reaper of the Wilds
- Kitchen Finks (and if so, then Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers)
If someone has suggestions to make the deck better I'm looking forward to reading them.

Thx for sharing!
Five Garruks in a Highlander deck...hilarious
I would have expected that non-combo ramp would have become unplayable piles without the spoils mulligan but it seems I was wrong here.

Match 1: Matthias Hittel with Esper 0-2
Both games ended very close by Matthias removing the final blocker or attacker. So both games ended in his favour.
Match 2: Olivier Lavaud-Canonne with Staxx 2-0
Game 1: I countered all of Olivier's key spells and burned the final damage very early(than expected by Olivier).
Game 2: At the beginning I didn't had good aggresiv creatures and Olivier didn't had manastone acceleration. Olivier played the Trinisphere and I had Phyrexian Arena, Bitterblossom and Jace, the Mind Sculptor. i couldn't played much spells but had always 3 mana to counter the game winning spells of Olivier. At the end he fetched with Transmute Artifact his Crumbling Sanctuary which I had Venser for it.
Match 3: Kewan Zahedinour with GB-Dredge 2-0
Game 1: Kewan was medium-low on mana and I had Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver getting quick(3 turns) his Venegvine. Kewan had Necromancer's Stockpile producing him several 2/2 Zombies. Ashiok produced his Woodland Changeling and I burned in combat a Zombie for my Venegvine doing the 2-1 Swap. The Vengevine made enough damage for the final burn spell finish.
Game2: Kewan had this time only 2 lands and dredged not the right cards to Face several creatures from my side. At the end I Force of Will'd his Mesmeric Orb a two turns before my victory so that no creepy thing can happen.
Match 4: Benjamin Farnung with 4C-Blood 2-1
Game1: Benjamin had a good line of play and his final Elspeth, Knight Errant came with 8 damage through.
Game two and three were much the same, I had counters for his high drops and my Thundermaw Hellkite/Stormbreath Dragon made unhandled enough damage for the final burn spell to finish the game.

Match 1: Leonard Tetzlaff with GW Maverick 2-0
Game 1: Leonard played several creatures but my Tezzeret, the Seeker and Elspeth, Sun's Champion made the game.
Game 2: Leonard conceded after my Wilfire destroyed all his creatures and lands.
Match 2: Joshua Bausch with UGB Tempo 0-2
Game 1: Joshua countered all my important spells and won with a Tarmogoyf.
Game 2: On a developed board I played Wildfire, Joshua played end of main phase Boon Satyr. I didn't found in time the mana for a solution for his Boon Satyr.
Match 3: Jan Schulze with RDW 2-1
Game 1: At 8 life I played Crumbling Sanctuary, a few turns later Entreat the Angels for 5.
Game 2: I stopped the opening assault, but faced Price of Progress.
Game 3: As I was on 4 life I could assemble the Thopter Foundry combo.
Match 4: Tobias Müller with 4C Blood 1-2
Game 1: Tobias could remove all my Planeswalker and attack me with cheap and efficient creatures.
Game 2: As I had 2 planeswalker I can resolve Devastation, after this I had all the permanents on the board.
Game 3: I can assemble Thopter Foundry Combo, but Tobias destroyed my Foundry as I had only 4 Thopter tokens. He played then Obzedat, Ghost Council where I had Maze of Ith. 2 turns before my victory with the Thopter Tokens Tobias topdecked Wasteland and killed my with the Obzedat.
What kind of esper is that, artifact or simply midrange/control?
The esper list is basicly midrange/tempo. As we run this tournament in Frankfurt monthly I try to get some decklists in the future to post them on mtgpulse.

so that list already won 3 consecutive tournaments :)
I've lost last four games with 4C blood and Jund against it - let's see if MaQi can beat it in Online League today
I'm not able to find the Scapeshift list on mtgpulse or here.
Is someone able to tell me where it is?
It's a real life list, so there isn't an online copy yet. I was surprised that Promole had contact with Tazi and builded this list. Now that I had converted my Jund-Scapeshift into a similliar UGr-Scapeshift list, there are now 3 copys of that deck.

hitman has the list already as far as I know
TaZi plays that deck in the current Online League and it will be published after the swiss rounds of the tournament (at the latest)
Scapeshift is a very good metagame call if 4C blood is everywhere. I just wonder why Temur is preferred as the Tutor package of a 4c list should improve the deck even more. Most probably it is a Temur creature ramp with Scapeshift as a 2nd win condition, otherwise I would doubt the list is teched out.
No, its a straight forward combo deck with quite a lot of disruption. Lost against it at the HLL and it is going for the combo each time I guess.
I agree with Björn here. I played against it and saw the list and Matthias told me he was losing too much against nonbasic hate and its not an all in combo build, its more like a RUG-Control deck with a small focus on ramping and no alternate win cons (like Karn, WurmCoil or Titan).
Being a scapeshift lover myself and playing the deck since three years in different iterations I would always go for the full tutorpackage black provides to have a consistent and fast combo deck. I can see building a heavy RUG Midrange deck with scapeshift as backdoor out though.
Since I just adopted the list from TaZi and did some personal changes (metagame decisions, personal preferences/experience). TaZi is the person to explain the list and cardchoices.
The Decks plays very well. In my experience it is not necessary to weaker the mana base for more speed reasons. But as usual it is also something about personal preferences and playstyle.
I will add my list on mtgpulse. I do not have other decklists from the event, but I hope to add other lists soon since there were a couple of interesting ones.
http://www.mtgpulse.com/event/19563#275847
Hello guys,
the list will be online soon I think and I'll take a minute and explain the list.
First point, this is not a ramp list and I don't think that ramp is a good deck in any form at the moment. That is because you will too often draw only the ramp half or only the fatty half of the deck.
I'ts a combo, with a different combo as a plan B and the possibility to kill with creatures as a last resort. The good thing is, that the combo (and the second combo) takes only very few cards in the deck and almost none of them are bad cards. That leaves a lot of space for good cards which are able to delay most opponents for very long time. So you don't need any black to find your combo, as you will have a lot of time in most games and the great amount of filtering in addition to the fact, that you only need 1 card helps a lot too.
Allright, I think there will be more discussion, when some list is available.

Match 1: Johannes Jessen with RDWGame 1: Johannes played turn 2 Gore-House Chainwalker, i played on my turn 2 Demonic Tutor for Doran, the Siege Tower. Next turn I faced Blood Moon, for the rest of the game I could only play Huntmaster of the Fells and Thundermaw Hellkite, which wasn't enough.
Game 2: I could play quick Mother of Runes + Voice of Resurgence, which faced Porcelain Legionaire and Gobli Guide. Later in the game i lost my Mother of Runes but could gather enough life with Ajani Vengeant to stay out of the red zone. With the new drawn creatures i could win this game.
Game 3: This game begin with me losing Lotus Cobra to his Mogg Fanatic, but I could find the needed lands so i played Lingering Souls against his Mardu Scout and Kitchen Finks against his Goblin Guide. At the end I finished him with Zealous Persecution which killed his Porcelain Legionnaire.
Match 2: Nils Huther with Black SuicideGame 1: Nils opens this game quick with turn 1 + 2 Gnarled Scarhide, Bloodsoaked Champion plus a Phyrexian Reclamation. The next two turns he plays Lifebane Zombie twice with use of his Lake of the Dead removing my Courser of Kruphix and Huntmaster of the Fells. With my creatures I could trade away most damage sources as he layed down Curse of Shallow Graves. The Zombie tokens from this card made me serious problems with balancing my lifepoints out of the red zone, luckily I drew Ajani Vengeant and with a fresh drawn Falkenrath Aristocrat I could manage to counterattack his lifepoints. As Nils drew 2 turns only swamps my Falkenrath flew to vitocry.
Game 2: Nils didn't found really relevant cards only a early Diregraf Ghoul plus two other small creatures later in the game. I let him discard Diabolic Intent and his Recurring Nightmare didn't found good targets.
Match 3: Dennis Sinner with Esper ControlGame 1: I hit nearly the perfect curve and Dennis didn't found enough relevant cards with his draw spells.
Game 2: I used my only creature destroy spell on his Brimaz, King of Oreskos, so I didn't had anything left for his Baneslayer Angel. as he layed down Tasigur, the Golden Fang with enough mana for his ability the game was over.
Game 3: In this game I started nearly quick with a Dark Confidant, Knight of the Reliquary plus a Fauna Shaman. Dennis stalled my attack with an unremovable True-Name Nemesis, he had only one removal spell for my 3 creatures so he choosed Fauna Shaman. With my Dark Confidant I drewed enough small spells(Discard + Removal Spells(not against TNN)) while my Knight of the Reliquary grew fast by the use of Tectonic Edge + Wasteland. As I played Ajani Vengeant blocking another of Dennis lands he attacked with the Nemesis Ajani. In the following counterattack I killed him especially with the help of my giant Knight of the Reliquary.
Match 4: Matthias Hittel with BUGGame 1: My first turn Avacyn's Pilgrim got manaless countered by Mental Misstep. I had only 4 mana spells which got countered one by another by Matthias while he used Mystical Teachings to generate advantage mainly by using Mana Drain. At the end he won with a Reaper of the Wilds.
Game 2: I hit the perfect curve with Bloodbraid Elf, Lingering Souls while Matthias had onyl 2 draw spells.
Game 3: This game took verly long we both traded many cards while I had more relevant cards and at the end Matthias had 3 lands in his hand.

Match 1: Florian Swing with Jeskai
Game 1: Florian didn't find a red land for most of the game, which binds several cards in his hand. As he had finally drawn a Mountain the game was already over.
Game 2: In this game Florian played quickly Kitchen Finks and Mantis Rider which I answered with Tamiyo, Repulse and a Cryptic Command. At the end I got the Tamiyo Emblem and killed him with Fire/Ice.
Match 2: Christopher Smeltz with BUG Tempo
Game 1: In this game I had to face Experiment One, Scryb Ranger, Dark Confidant, Duress and a few soft counter. They made a few damage before I shot them. Thundermaw Hellkite and Jace, the Mind Sculptor flew this game home.
Game 2: Like the first game only with an opposing Bitterblossom and Putrid Leech more. This time I had Jace, Architect of Mind and a Stormbreath Dragon so the game was really Deja-Vue of the first one.
Match 3: Timo Klein with White Weenie
Game 1: Timo played on 2/1 creature after another and I could only counter/shot down half of them. So this game didn't take too long for me to lose it.
Game 2: My Opponent had a medium slow start and I could control him with a Vedalken Shackles Flametongue Kavu and so on.
Game 3: Turn 2 I faced a Silver Knight and Turn 3 Ajani, Caller of the Pride. At the end I didn't had an answer for Ajani's Ultimate with 20 2/2 Cats.
Match 4: Logisch Arne with UW/b creaturess Control
Game 1: Arne tutored for Rune of Protection: Red, which blocked more than half of my cards. He also drew more relevant cards so I conceded after 20 minutes.
Game 2: As we were both out of cards I drew Conundrum Sphinx which gave me more cards than Arne so I could control him.
Game 3: After a long game I drew again Conundrum Sphinx but after 2 attacks Arne topdecked Gideon Jura which destroyed the Sphinx. He couldn't kill me with Gideon because I had Maze of Ith. So after felt infinte play time the game ended with a draw.
