I've been struggling around with this so I decided to ask your help with this.

Deck is built for "fetchless" format that's being tested in Finland right now. I tested UGR ramp (not optimal.deck list: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/hl-ugr-ramp/) in last test tournament and went 2-1-1 with it. Against WW 1-2, WW 1-1-1 (opponent played Sharazad), Zoo 2-0, RDW 2-0.

I really loved UGR but I felt this deck type could be even better. So let the test begin.

Gameplan is to play defensive creatures and ramp along with them to bigger threats. I've included quite a many lifegain cards here since aggro seemed to be strong (in numbers too) in last tournament. Feel free to comment, I'm sure there are some cards that doesn't fit there enought well and cards that I'm missing.

I understand issues with Stoneforge Mystic but somehow this makes me feel bad since Gifts Ungiven is still legal.

I`ve been playing Stonforge in every creature based deck after it came out and it´s never been too big problem to opponent or opponents Mystic to me. Decks have creature and artifact removals.

Here is my version of this deck. There are few cards I could cut out, like Garruk and some of creatures, but so far this have been working rather well. All ideas are welcome for sure!

1. am I wrong or do you just play 99 cards?!

I`m missing 2 cards on the list then. I wanted to play 101 just to make sure if I lose one card I don`t lose game if someone counts my deck.

2. Baneslayer > Exalted Angel > Stonehewer Giant

Stonehewer Giant, it`s ability is amazing, getting sword to play equipped win games sometimes, and still it`s 4/4 Vigilance. I didn`t play Baneslayer because I don`t have one.

Battlegrace Angel would be bad in this build, I would`t play it anywhere really.

3. Counters: - If you play Mana Tithe why no Force Spike also?
            - How was Unified Will for you .. got the feeling its only a good counter if you are over extending. Whats about Deprive? maybe some nice synergies with Winter orb and geddon?

I had to cut some cards (there are so many playable cards in UW colors) and I figured 12 counters is enought. I have same feeling about Unified Will, but still it`s cheap counter. Deprivive - should try this, but I have feeling it`s not good in many situations - specially in early game.

4. I guess Ravages of war is just not in because its WAY to expensive ;)

5. Don t know if Shakles is >> Trechary.
maybe you could try to add shakles and even Control Magic

This deck is more W based so I thought there wouldn`t be enought Island in the play - silly thoughts must say. Added Shackels to the list. I like Control Magic but I wanted to add aggressive creature over it.

6. What do you think about Mox Diamond and Chrome Mox?? Synergies with speed b2b (for nonbasics), Winterorb and Geddon

I don`t personally like Moxes, 2 cards for 1 doesn`t sound very good plan often and in late games they are useless.

7. Gush and Sea Drake could also be pretty nice combo with geddons and winter orb

Gush - not enought Islands. Sea Drake is nice but I don`t own one - I would play it for sure.

8. How did work Transcedent Master and Thada Adel, Acquisitor for you.

I`ve only casted Transcedent Master once and that time it traded with 3/3. I`t s not hard to level up him 6 times because of colorless level up cost. Thada Adel have been great, many decks play islands in Finland and it`s ability is awesome - kills many combos aswell.

I`ve updated deck quite much. I won HL tournament (5-0) last week with this.

2-0, Storm combo. Was really close to lose second game, gladly I decided play enought creatures to cause lethal damages, otherwise I would lost turn later.
2-1, so not`s UW fish. Lost first game to Sword equipped Islandwalker. Won second game with aggression. Third was really even, although Azorious guildmage caused lots of harm to opponent, finally won game with Harm`s Way (Opponent was at 2 life points).
2-1, Mono red, this deck wasn`t actually really good (Lava Axe surprised me :), in first game mulliganed to 5. Two last ones were pretty fast for me.
2-0, GWR aggro. Not much to say, won first with Mother of Runes and Sword of Fire and Ice. Second with Back to basics.
2-0, UW control. First game was tought, in second opponent had mana screw and my Rishadan Port didn`t help any.

I think monoblue wouldn`t work enought well with landfalls since green and black has best creatures for that right now.

All land tutors, fetch lands, cards like Gush, Soratami Cloudskater?, Sunder ;), Meloku...

Thanks for your comments, I edited this deck quite much before our National tournament. So deck wasn`t actually counter rebel at all :) But I`ll post new list a bit later today or tomorrow - I really want to hear your comments about it.

I don`t own Baneslayer or other Sword, that`s the reason. Ponder would be good aswell.

I understand your point clearly there. It has it`s bad sides of course, but it`s main idea to me is get more card advantage, and if it`s ever going to be activated, it might cause nice things, or not. It`s like 50/50. In late games I rather draw it than basic land. And it`s still just a one land so you can always discard it in first mulligan if it doesn`t help you.

But any comments about the deck? :)

I think you need some good blockers or atleast some mana engines which make your deck more suitable. Now it looks too slow for everything, even it looks fun. Bop, Llanowars etc takes a spot from something else in your deck, but with that mana curve (without really any draw machines) it won`t won many tournament games, I think. Now your deck has just two first turn drops.
