This was the first time I ever played in a Highlander league. Looking up the pairings on this forum I noticed I had to play my cockatrice-buddy R4nd0m. Ugh :S
While being friends outside the arena, I know theres no holding back during the match. The gloves come off!! (:<
Me(playing junk aggro) versus R4nd0m(playing Ub tide) 2-0
I won the roll and keep a quite exciting hand: 2x fetch, kitchen finks, abrupt decay, loxodon smiter, bitterblossom, putrid leech.
I start with a land, and R goes with a snow island, and I directly put him on his high tide deck.
Turn 2 Putrid Leech comes through, attack his manarocks a little, while I get stuck on 2 mana and all my other spells get countered. Unlucky for him, its quite the opposite and he keeps drawing lands. A Smiter comes through and while the clock is ticking and his gastank gets empty, Putrid Leech finishes the deal while he fails to go off.
2nd game (mulling into: thoughtseize, 3 lands, shriekmaw, batterskull and putrid leech)Seeing hand disruption + pressure on turn 2 make me quite statisfied about the hand.
He choses to play and starts with snow island+jeweled amulet. My turn 1 thoughtseize sees a hand full of manasources + dizzy spell(which will often go for high tide) + future sight. Figured that taking the future sight would cripple his hand. Turn 2 he goes ramping while I played my freshly drawn strangleroot geist to apply some pressure. While he keeps ramping, I try to give him the least time possible. He slows me down a little with into the roil + snapcaster mage and does some fancy ca tricks with top+bounce. Too bad his deck runs dry again and sees mostly lands from the top. The green ugly army chokes the blue mage out meaning:

Me (UW Control) vs Dirk Schäfer (Oath) 2-0
Game 1 starts with lite Disription on both sides while I get some dmg in with a Trinket Mage and a Snapcaster which adds up with his Crucible recycling a fetchland. My Spellskite blanks his Maze and I can race him before the card advantages of Crucible crushes me
Game 2 I waste his second land, he blanks on a Brainstorm and basically dies before he finds his second land

pyyhttu (Aluren-Swans) vs. DerStefan82 (PatternHulkHermit): 2 - 0
I won the die roll and went first. I had an opener with a fetchland, Brainstorm, Eladamri's Call, Daze and some good mana (City of Brass). So pretty OK. Stefan tries to go with a first turn mana elf, for which I brainstorm (revealing Lotus Bloom, Chain of Plasma and some tutor), and then proceed to Daze the elf. I try to go at some point for an early Aluren-combo, but don't find right tutors, so I change plans for Swans-combo (since I had Chain of Plasma already). In the end, game has proceeded to turn 7 by which then Stefan is one turn away from a combo of his own (he sylvan tutored for sacrifice outlet and had Pattern of Rebirth in play). However, I had Lotus Bloom in play, and have just enough mana to play on the same turn Swans and Chain of Plasma on it, which allows me to win with endless black mana and through emrakul shuffle effect looped Ebony Charms.
Stefan goes first in the second game and opens the game with Carrion Feeder, which I of course won't counter with Mental Misstep, as how dangerous can that guy be? I play a Deathrite shaman and a Chrome Mox, and with the suitable tutors in hands, try to go for Aluren plan again. Stefan has by now Qasali Pridemage, which I don't have any removal. I tutor for some other plan (Show and Tell) and hope Stefan can't combo. He ofcourse does, and sacrifices Rector for Carrion Feeder. I obviously miss the window to exile Rector with Shaman, but I'm able to exile Hulk. This puts Stefan behind so that I can get my Emrakul into play and eventually win with that.

Game 1 : We trade creatures and enchantments and at the end I won with an active Elspeth, Knight of Errant.
Game 2: At the beginning I started with Wild Nacatal and Tarmogoyf. Olli shot the Nacatal and one of my few colored lands. Tarmogoyf was being hindered from attacking by Olli's Baleful Strix. I had Lingering Souls and Winter Orb to slowly grinder his life down. At the end I found another colored land and killed first his Talisman and then him with 2 burn spells.

Nastaboi Hypergenesis vs. pyyhttu Naya LD

G1: I lost the roll but revealed Chancellor of the Annex. Unfortunately, pyyhttu had two two-mana lands to instantly Ice Storm my sacland. He killed a couple of more lands and got some dorks out, but eventually he run out of LD spells and I made it to three mana, putting down some giant lifelinking beaters.
G2: Tuomas had turn two Ajani Vengeant along with two LD spells. Fortunately for me, he thought Ajani's tap ability would work like Tamiyo's, and used it to my untapped land. That allowed me to cast Show and Tell, putting Take Possession on his Ajani and instantly ultimating him. I tutored for Hypergenesis soon after with Force of Will backup.

Me (Ur Control) 2-0 Lash (UG maybe control, couldn't see much)
Game 1: He had a really bad draw with ancestral vision turn 1 and even after resolving it he wasn't able to find more than 3 lands in this game. I had Jace Beleren Turn 4 and he conceded turn 7 when I played Consecrated Sphinx with counter backup.
Game 2: He had a lot of acceleration spells but no follow up, I had Trinket Mage in turn 4 which starts beating at him in turn 5 where he also gets a new friend: Grim Lavamancer. I was a little bit screwed at 3 lands but I drew a lot of burn spells and I managed to kill him with Trinket beats + Grim Lavamancer + burn before he could do anything bad with his future sight.
Round 2: Me (Ur Control) 2-1 GoblinPiledriver (Not sure, Scapeshift - Combo?)
Game 1: He played on the play Thrun turn 3, I played Back to Basics, he hit me turn 4, I play Imperial Recruiter and found Phantasmal Image for his Thrun, followed by Jace Beleren and then he conceded.
Game 2: Nothing interesting happened a few turns in the beginning he plays a lot of acceleration spells, I Mana drained his cultivate and got a Trinket Mage with Sword of War and Peace equiped, one turn later he kills me with Scapeshift.
Game 3: I'm a little bit screwed in the beginning, He played Wolfir Silverheart, I played Vendilion Clique and found his Flametongue Kavu, he drew Acidic Slime from the Clique and destroyed my Pithing Needle which was played for his Top (instead of destroying one of my three Lands), he hits me with his paired Wolfir and I'm on 10 life. I played Phantasmal Image to copy his Wolfir and paired it with my Clique, he attacked in the next turn I traded my Wolfir with his Wolfir and take 6 damage from his Acidic Slime - 4 Life. He played Eternal Wittness after his attack, which I knew from the Clique and counter the cip trigger with my Stifle then he added a Bird of Paradise. I was still at 3 Lands and had many options and decided to hope for a spell for my Mana Drain -> in his next turn he played Shriekmaw which gave me 5 mana. After that he played Maelstrom Pulse on my Vendilion Clique which I Misdirected to his Acidic Slime pitching a Faery Harbinger. He attacked with Eternal Wittness, I did not block with my Clique and went on 2 Life. I finally drew my fourth Land and played + equiped Sword of Fire and Ice to my Clique from the 5 mana from the Drain. I attacked he went on 7 life, I shot the 2 damage on his Eternal Wittness and drew a Magma Jet. Next turn he played Phyrexian Arena, I killed his Bird eot with my Magma Jet and he conceded.

G1: Nothing special happened, I got double Glen Elendra Archmage (Phantasmal Image) which beats him.
G2: I Stifle a Fetchland T2 and play Vendilion Clique T3 for his Palinchron and finish him with Clique beats + Price of Progress and Burst Lightning.
peeler (Jund-Aggro) - Vazdru (UBw-Buried Alive)
g1: he won the roll and had some critters, i have a(n almost) perfect hand and kill t4
g2: he had discard T1 and took condescend, i duressed him and see 1 land, Tarmogoyf, Strangeroot Geist, Lili II and Sarkhan - as he was low on lands i took lili instead of sarkhan which turned out to be the wrong choice as he drew kird ape and 2 other lands in the next turns and overwhelmed me
g3: I've had again a slow and controllish start, after he dropped some critters and i took some cantrips i cleared board with damnation, turn later i transmuted shred memories for demonic, mana drained his next spell and played Demonic -> Buried Alive and Exhume to end this match 2:1 in my favour

High Tide 2:1 Dirk Schaeffer(k0d013e4st) with U/G Midrange
Game 1 im on the defense all the way. I can stall with some tap effects but cant ever go off. I even manage to Temporal Fissure for 8, but he has Kira and lots of creatures.
Game 2 I have a quick start with Ancient Tomb and 2 manastones, then Fact or Fiction. On turn 4 I have High Tide and Time Twister into Intuition and Snapcaster Mage and win from there.
Game 3 he has turn 3 Natural Order for Titan, then Trygon Predator, but I have lands, Merchant Scroll for High Tide and turn 5 Treachery. In the end, I have Intuition again, this time for Minds Desire for a lot, but, see yourself in the replays linked below:

Sry but this matchreport is not right. I dont have a 4c Staxx and no1 of my decks is running blightsteele colossus. I dont even remember to play vs any izzet deck.

But where to stash the git repository and how future development will continue against that after C&D, that's the real community test for cockatrice.
This distressing to me... My sons and I have basically abandoned MWS, even though we still believe that it is the best deck-building utility available (at least that we've seen). But one son has moved entirely to a Mac platform, and the other son and I can't seem to get the recent versions of MWS to work in a stable manner. If Cockatrice may have future problems... :'(

g1: he won the roll and started with T1 land + elves, T2 putrid leech which met Swords eot, T3 he played Tainted Pact eot for Discard, i let it resolve and showed him mana Drain, 2 more counter, Lingering Souls, Cabal Therapy, he took Mana Drain. He still had no preassure on the board and hit me with elf a while. Another Discard took Mystical Teachings. When he played Acidic Slime i answered with Memory Lapse, next turn Lingering Souls + Cabal Therapy Flashback for his last hand card (Natural Order). Acidic Slime took one land but three left were enough for eot Intution for Buried Alive, Snapcaster + Reanimate. When he tried hardcast Primeval Titan i had Daze to stop it...crucial moment ;) Soon after i resolved Buried Alive giving him a window of one turn to turn the table as i had Animate Dead already in hands.
g2: i spoiled Thoutscour + 1 land having some control-parts, 3 lands + Exhume, he played Bitterblossom, Doran the first turns while i've had Repeal + Clique + topdecked Buried Alive, eot t3 i played Clique and see Demonic + Sculler and some critters, i took Demonic and let Sculler hit Buried Alive as i've had O-Ring already in hand. O-Ring took Sculler for a one turn clock with Buried Alive + Exhume + Pact of Negation in hands

G1: I mulligan down to 6 as find only 1 land and hand was full of two drops. I get second hand with not much business, and peeler is able to O-ring a critter and run me over with army of his own.
G2: I let peeler to go first and assume control role. I have a curve with Icatian Javelineers, Knight of Meadowgrain, Spectral Procession, Elspeth, then Jihad.
G3: Peeler goes first but can't find his red source. I have again Elspeth and Hero of Bladehold.

I've had my match vs Pacifist on gorger - it was felt a bit slower / more laggy than usual server but was still quite ok, we haven't had any major problems

g1: he won the roll and started with Island go. I've had Grim Lavamancer T1, T2 Keldon Marauders which got Flame Slashed. He had Pithing Neede for Lavamancer which just attacked the next rounds. Ember Hauler killed his Trinket mage which took SDT. With Magma Jet, Spark Elemental i took him down to 10 lp already. He plays Voidmage Prodigy who countered Rakdos Cackler, but i've had Gore-House Chainwalker for even more pressure. Hell's Thunder, Chainwalker + Grim Lavamancer attacked for 8 leaving him with 1 lp. As I've had Barbarian Ring, Smash to Smithereens in hand and enough beef on the table this was obv. gg
g2: he started with tapped Steam Vents, I've had Black Vise T1, which dealt 5 damage altogether. End of T2 he played Snapcaster and started the damage race. I've had suspended Rift Bolt. T4 he tapped out for Glen Elendra, so i played Flame Javelin, Lava Spike to bring hin down to 5 lp. He had T5 Metamorph for another Glen Elendra. I tried Flame Rift with got countered and Arc Trail to kill 2 of its dudes. Next turn i played Hellspark Elemental, Procelain Legionaire and had a Ghitu Encampment as well. Hellspark was killed by Izzet Charm but next turn i attacked with Hellspark again in team with Legionaire and Encampment for the win.

Just played 3 quick games vs Pyyhttu.
Me 4c one drop aggro - him Emrakul combo.
I will not post any replay cause games were pretty 1 sided.
G1: He played a t3 show and tell -> emrakul, while i laid some beats. Not enough pressure and he spagettimonster'd my face. (he started)
G2: Turn 1 Accorder Paladin, into t2 and t3 one drops give him not enough time to combo out. (i started)
G3: I played beatz t1,2,3 + a winter orb while he couldnt interact.
I hoped i could write more, maybe next time.

Lars was stuck on red mana 1st game and I just buried him under card advantage. G2 he had answers to my lone threats, and drain-fueled Wurmcoil finished me fast as I didn't draw too many nonlands. G3 I had many cheap counters while he was stuck on mana, and slowly my Sorin took over while I still got all deez.

1: Lost first game vs Explosives which took Mana Stones + Monolith and Back to Basics
2: Should have won the second one but blundered in the last turn on 2 lp when opponent had 2 handcards + aven Mindcensor on board, me Liliana I (7) + Ral Zarek (6)...me draw: Entreat the Angels for 8, he Pact, me Ral for 3 Damage on Aven Mindcensor, he Harm's Way .. felt to safe against UW and he killed me with DD ;D ... should have used Liliana I first obviously and Ral for Tap + Untap using Sensei's to get Ensnaring Bridge at 0 handcards...anyway ggs
nevertheless it seems no good idea to play new decks on finals first time...but I have a second chance as it was my first loss, better luck next time ;)

g1: i spoiled thunderous wrath, forked bolt and wasteland and got a hand with 2 lands and lots of CC2-drops but no cc1 so i began on the play with Mountain - go, Ash Zealot eat the first 2 lp, Brainstorm finds searing spear thich killed the Zealot. Ankh of Mishra t3 followed by Kargan Dragonlord, he had Recruiter for Snappie meanwhile. Venser bounced Ankh but hit Searing Blaze before he can do anythin else. Had some burnspells and hit him down to 10 lp when he dropped Batterskull. I had to kill the token giving him 4 lp and lost Dragonlord too. As he had 6 lp i've had Hell's Thunder but no chance to do the last 2 dam so the redropped Batterskull gave him another 4 lp. Again on 6 lp i've had Thunderous Wrath for 5 but my leathal Burn got countered and he won turn after.

g2: this time i've had Grim Lavamancer T1, Hellspark Elemental T2, Hell's Thunder T3, my Stigma Lasher got bolted and Magus of the Scroll forced Mental Misstep but he got low on handcards and was flooded as wall as Ramgang attacked his last 9 lp with some flashback dudes as backup so it was obv. gg

g3: he started t2 with augur of bolas finding nothin, I've played Shrine T2 and T3 Ramgang, T4 he FtK my Ramgang. I've had Blistering Firecat for 7 dam. T5 he had Trinket Mage for Needle. Fortunately i've kept Smash to Smitheneers (in fear of Batterskull) in openening hand and had already 6 counters on shrine when he was on 8 lp left. As my clock was faster as Kavu+Trinket Mage he had to Cryptic Command my Shrine when i've had 3 mana open to bring him down to 2 lp. With 5 lands in play + Arc Trail + Burst Lighting it was gg before he could finish me off with his critters.
