OK - since this is my first online tournament, here are some questions:
1. I assume we are using Magic Workstation?
2. Do we need to submit a deck code, or decklist, prior to beginning? If so, to whom?
3. I assume each match is one game? (If not, please clarify.)
4. I assume that that each player is responsible for contacting his opponent to set up a time for the match?
5. Is there a deadline for completion of the first round/week of matches?

1. Yeah, you are right. MWS is usually used.
But if your opponent arees, you can use other programms as well. You could eaven play a RL-match. ;)
2. No, you don't have to.
3. A match is one best-of-three.
4. Yeah, your right. You have to contact your opponent to set a date to play. Maybe it is harder for you to find a right place because of the timezones.
5. Öhm... I think it was one or two weeks or so?
just to add some info:
2: no, because you can change decks from match to match (remember that a match is the best of three.. so in these 3 games you MUST play the same deck without any alteration)
5: The season ends 17th August 2008. There are twelve matches for each of us since that point of time. You are absolutely free to arrange your matches during the season. There is no deadline for a single match except end of season mentioned before.
Every player is urged to have at least one match every three weeks - if you can't because of any circumstances please leave a message on the board.
This place can be used as message board for everything related to our Highlander League (questions, infos, dates...).
I'm out of town till next Monday. Next week I'll try to play one or two league games.

i have the pics (low quality) and the txt file for MWS (but its not official, so i cant guarantee if the 180 are all correct)
I always use http://slightlymagic.net/base.shtml for the purpose of getting the update. It is only semi-official (i.e. linked from mwsgames.net). However it includes more flavor texts and less errors... They also have a high-quality scans project and link to many sites that mirror those scans.

Um, did I see a posting that Season IV pairings would be posted a couple days ago? If they were could someone steer me towards them? (If not, that's cool; I just hate to think that I am unaware of any information that I should have.)
BTW, my local playgroup held our September tournament just 2 days ago at my home, and as fate would have it, the format was Highlander, with 9 players attending. With all due respect to my local friends, I will say that the deck and play levels within THIS group are at least 3 notches higher...

D1sturbed had some problems with his MWS recently but is now ready for his first games.
Peeler already played 4 matches - that's quite enough at this stage of our league.
Every participant is advised to play 1 match per week. Just remember our league lasts till mid of december.

I downloaded a new client after a long time to use new origins .xml cause it wouldn't work with my old version. after uninstalling my old client all my deckstorage is deleted. i have no more decklist left. This actually includes my leauge list and code. what to do now?

To make your efforts transparent for scheduling a match-date will be valued if there are any unforeseen troubles, e. g. technical problems at match-day, sickness etc etc.
Nevertheless if a match-period is two weeks (HLL) or four weeks (Ladder) the players should try to use the full period for finding a date to avoid problems at the end.

Goblinpiledriver and Tazi scheduled their match today 17.00.
To avoid such situations which fortunately don't appear too often follow this rules:
* offer
concrete dates - the more the merrier
* check and answer your messages
regularly - i check almost daily which participants have logged in and which haven't (especially of thise who haven't played their matches), so I know you haven 't logged in last week for 5 consecutive days, which makes any communication quite difficult
* announce your
vacation period in time if necessary
* last but not least:
please be on time - letting opponents wait isn't a good manner...and when I speak of "let someone wait" I don't mean saying: "I'm unavailable from A to B" but "lets play at 9" and come at 10.
