Baghira (Abzan Pattern-Rector) vs Vazdru (4c Reanimator)

g1: he rolled 20 and started, i mulled a hand with 3 lands, Sickening Dreams, Inquisition, Sphinx of the Steel Wind and Treasure Cruise into 3 lands, Ponder, Brainstorm, Mental Misstep and Jin-Gitaxias which i've kept, so his T1 SDT got countered and i started with Ponder to find Arid Mesa and FoW. He had Duress T2 and took Stitch Together.
After Brainstorm + eot fetch I've already had a decent hand. His first creature on board was Murderous Redcap and my plan was eot Tainted Pact into Reanimation-Spell for Lightning Axe + Discard Jin-Gitaxias. But the Pact was weird and I revealed card after card without finding Animate Dead, Exhume, Reanimate and so...this happend bout 25 cards since i revealed Oath. As i've already exiled 5 creatures I took it instead as I had still FoW + Jin for his potential removal (except Decay obviously) - Oath hit the board and revealed Sire of Insanity into Inkwell Leviathan into Titania, Arbor Protector which wasn't that impressive but still good enough to win this game against his small dudes.

g2: i mulled to following 6 this time: Elesh Norn, Titania, Urborg, Dark Depth, Tespian Stage, Forbidden Orchyard - Scry 1 for Faithless Looting which stayed on the top. He had no T1 spell in his turn and i started Orchyard for Looting, discarding Elesh + Titania. He had eot Worldly Tutor for Ooze which made things more complicated as I didn't find Reanimate-Spell from the top. I changed my plan and try to assemble Dark-Depth-Combo but 4/4 Ooze, Smiter + Spirit Token have been too fast by one turn.

g3: I've had 3 lands, Sire of Insanity, Titania, Demonic and Mana Drain which seems not unfair enough so i mulled the 4th time in this match, he took his first free mulligan. Now I've had 4 lands, Iona, Dace, Dance of the Dead so I've had some kind of Protection, Fattie + Reanimation..I've kept looking for some discard outlet. Meanwhile he went down to 6 and kept risky hand with Fetchland, Cradle, Lotus Cobra, Wall of Roots, GSZ and Thragtusk. He played Inquisition T2 which got countered. As he didn't found any lands and denied playing GSZ for Dryad Arbor (if he has any in his deck?) he stumbled on two lands. I've got Thoughtseize from the top, targeting me and a 8/8 Iona hits the board denying his further green spells as I was in fear of Reclamation Sage or Creature-Tutor. With Bayou and Cradle in play and a hand of green-cards he lost within 3 swings of Iona.

TaZi 2:1 GoblinPiledriver

Game 1
=======
I keep a hand with 2 fetchlands, preordain, counterspell, arc trail, kavu, lavamancer on the play while Jochen keeps 3 lands, cultivate, arc trail, thragtusk and cryptic command. I start with the lavamancer which swings for several turns. Jochen draws senseis top from the top and merchant scroll afterwards. On his third turn Jochen doesn't play his cultivate but passes the turn. In the meantime I've drawn 2 lands and a ruination, but have Port and volcanic while jochen has only basics and fetchlands. I try a dig through time eot, which resolves and so I also try the bribery on my turn, to find a primeval titan. He has no titan in his deck, but my fears are confirmed, that he plays scapeshift. So I think he has to have the titan in his hand, which would pose a serious problem on the next turn. Hence I take his vendillion clique only to see no titan either but cryptic, merch. scroll, cultivate and the tusk. I take the scroll, to stop him from comboing. Now he cracks his fetchlands for 3 nonbasics, plays another one and bounces his clique. So the ruination is looking good again and wins the game effectively.

Game 2
=======
We both take our free mulligan and keep: bonfire, force, small jace, brainstorm, treasure cruise, 2 lands (me) and cryptic, spell pierce, fact, electrolyze 3 lands (jochen). He plays lumbering falls and my jace is suddenly looking worse... He continues with into the north, which makes things even worse. His fact resolves on turn 3 and a young pyromancer is starting to build a board presence. Eventually I will never cast the jace this game and his wins by conventional beatdown.

Game 3
=======
I keep, forked bolt, serum visions, back to basics, batterskull, vedalken shakles and 2 lands. He keeps 4 lands, preordain, snapcaster, courser of kruphix. I start with the vision and draw senseis top. He does preordain into natures lore and has 3 basics in play which renders the B2B pretty useless. So I play the freshly drawn dack fayden and start shaping my hand. He goes for three visits into courser, but shakles pose another serious problem on my next turn. Now he has 7 lands in play and teachings in hand, but I find another counterspell with dack and from then on I'm allways one step ahead and the batterskull eventually finishes him, as he has no real plan B.

G1 I curved on the play, he had Arc Trail and tutored Bonfire but I had enough gas.

G2 I had all creatures hand with bunch of 1 drops, Tobias had turn 1 ancestral. I got him low enough life total before he stabilized with full grip of cards and fireblast finished things off.

Promole (BUG?) 0:2 4C Joern (Goodstuff (w/o R))

Game 1:

- Promole begins and is satisfied with his hand: 3 Lands, DRS, Baleful Strix, Spell Pierce and Mana Leak.
- Free-Mulligan for me. Then i kept: 3 Lands (1 cipt), Noble Hierarchm Tidehollow Sculler, Natural Order, Jace, the Mind Sculptor

1: Promole starts with cipt-land, I draw Quasali Pridemage and play Bayou and Hierarch.
2: Promole plays Land, Baleful Strix. I draw dismember, play Land, Tidehollow Sculler and see the 2 Counters for my early Natural Order. ok then: I take Deathrite Shaman with Sculler.
3: Promole plays cipt-land. I play land, then dismember on baleful strix (with 2 mana open), he counters with mana leak (yeah!), then i play qasali Pridemage.
4: Promole plays land, go (no BB for liliana). I attack with Sculler (with 2 Exalted-trigger) and sac pridemage for baleful strix before blockers declared.
5: Promole draws the right land for liliana and plays it: -2. I sac tidehollow sculler, he gets deathrite back and plays it (if he plays DRS, he has only spell pierce!). after drawing 3 lands in a row, I played natural order in my turn with 2 mana open into his spell pierce. Resolved. Searches Wasteland and Creeping tar Pit.
6: Promole plays Unearth on Baleful Strix, Liliana -1 and Gurmag Angler. I draw land, play Jace TMS, bounce Gurmag Angler and attack with Titan (Maze of Ith, Celestial Colonade) into Liliana. He blocks with baleful strix and both die.
7: He cycles (Preordain, Miscalulation) into ruinous Path and kills Jace. I draw Snapcaster and attack with treetop village and creeping tar pit. Maze untaps Tar Pit for snapcaster action.
8: He plays Treasure Cruise and nothing else. EOT: I play Snapcaster and flashback dismember for his DRS (He has 2 blue sorces). I draw mystical Tutor, attack with my 2 Manlands and Snapcaster mage. He plays Snapcaster Mage and blocks mine. Hes on 5 life. I use my wasteland for his lonely sandbar (no blue mana left for him).
9: Gurmag Angler, go. EOT: Mystical tutor for path to exile. Path to exile for Gurmag Angler, Attack with my Manlands. GG

Game 2:

- Promole freemulliganed, then goes to six with a risky hand: 1 Land, Deathrite Shaman, SDT, Heroes Downfall, Shadow of Doubt, Toxic Delatsch
- Free-Mulligan for me: I kept a mediocre hand with 4 Lands, Noble Hierarch, Thrun and Putrid Leech (which i cant play the whole game while lacking black mana)

Game Description: krasser Manascrew on Promole's Side. Thrun on turn 3 on my side. He's looking for mana for 4 /5 Turns. I played Wasteland on his second land with fow backup (i can hardcast it ;-). Thrun (+Hierarch) killed him. His Toxic Deluge (1 Turn before his death) is countered. GG - No credits for this game ;-).

Thx for the games, Promole.

Game 1: I had solid starting hand with turn 2 City of Traitors into Coalition Relic and turn 3 Thran Dynamo into Jace. He had Manland for Jace, but then I could drain his Natural Order and draw many Cards with Braingeyser. Finally I had Mindslaver Lock with Sharuum and Karakas.

Game 2: I had really nice start with turn 1 chrome mox into talisman and t2 Crucible with a fetchland (my only land in opening hand XD). He had turn 1 pilgrim and 3 Vengevine, I had t3 Tezzeret the Seeker and I could him protect with Chain of Vapor. Turn 4 i found Academy and Buried Ruin with Intuition (and Crucible on board) and Mindslaver with Demonic Tutor, so i got him again in a Mindslaver lock.

second game: We both keep 7 cards and played a bit draw go. at some point I reaveld Entreet the Angels from the top which he responded with a snapcaster, but I could response with Spell Snare. He trys to find an answer with Brainstorm and Dig through time, I realy don t know how, but my Entreet resolves and I have 3 Tokens which end the game quite fast. I raced a bit with gutter snipe and burn spells, but a Sphinx revelation on 6 cards and 6 life sealed the deal.

g1: I win the roll. He has Leyline of Sanctitiy on t0. Fine, my t1 Thoughtseize is useless. I have t2 Sylvan Caryatid and follow that up with Ajani Vengeant, Gideon, AoZ, Lili and double Sword. My cards aren't fully efficient because of Leyline but I continually add to my board and he is on the backfoot all the time.

g2: He leads with t1 Island, t2 Celestial Colonnade (which indicates a quirky mana draw on his side). I am able to deploy t2 Confidant which proceeds ot draw about 7 cards with 0 dmg (all lands) over the course of the game. There is one deciding moment (t3 and t4) where I drop Cobra, Land and double discard him with Thoughtseize and Inquisition (taking Gideon and Timely Reinforcements) to leave him with only Elspeth as his t4 play. He plays accoridng to script and Zealous Persecution neatly handles the Elspeth along with the soldier on my next turn.

Maqi (4c Blood) vs Vazdru (4c Reanimator)

g1: He won the roll and went down to 6 while I've kept: Bazaar + 4 lands + Mental Misstep + Magister of Worth. He started with Treetop Village, i played Bazaar and passed. He found Inquisition of Kozilek and i payed two life for Misstep to give him no information about my hand - I maybe better have used Bazaar for discarding my last target for Inquisition, who knows  ::). EOT i used Bazaar revealing Titania, Rune-Scarred Demon discarding Magister, Demon and Island. I found Inquisition on my own from the top which let him discard Eladamris Call leaving him with: Cobra, Restoration Angel and Land. In his turn he only played Cobra and passed. Bazaar was digging deeper but can't find a reanimation spell, so hand-size dropped fast and gy extended to 15. Finally i've cast reanimate for Demon for tutoring Exhume (he had no creatures in gy), my life dropped down to 8. As further backup i dropped Maze of Ith as he had 3 potential attackers (Treetop, Angel + Cobra). Playing Exhume I had to choose between Inwell Leviathan, Magister, Sire of Insanity, Titania and Sphinx of the Steel Wind which i finally took as he had no hand card and was down to 12 lp while I've had 12 power on the board after exhume. I pondered a while to take Titania for 3 5/3 (had another fetch-land) but seemed worse as i wanted to seal the deal with life-gain next turn. So he had one draw ... Tainted Pact. With ~ 25 cards in the library he revealed Swords to Plowshares but declined to take this as he didn't wanted me to get that lifeswing. In the end he had no cards left in his library so i won.

g2: my first seven: Marsh Flats, Wasteland, Demonic, Show and Tell, Kolaghan's Command, Ashen Rider and Sphinx of the Steel Wind were rejected. Afterwards I've drawn a decent hand to curve out: he started with tapped land, my Thoughtseize revealed: 1 land, Tarmogoyf, Fauna Shaman, Dromaka's Command, Lili and Ob Nixilis, so Goyf hit the bin. T2 he played Fauna Shaman as expected and i killed it with Izzet Charm. T3 he had only a Tapped-Land as i could drop Dack Fayden on an empty board. He turned his 4 lands sideways and Siege Rhino tried to pressure me, but i had Lili on my own and so 2 Planeswalker on an empty board. T4 he played Lili which obviously couldn't turn the table for him. As Dack has found Life from the Loam meanwhile Dack + Lili had generated some weird card advantage and so Demonic Tutor for Animate Dead to bring back Ashen Rider sealed the deal while he had no permanents left other than lands.

After a few turns I played Courser of Kruphix answered by his Flametongue Kavu, the next turn I played Scapeshift for the win.

Game 2:
Tobias played early Jace Beleren which I could never handle. I played a few Spells and Fact or Fition but couldn't play succesfully a relevant Spell, especially against an active Grim Lavamancer. He played Back to Basics and countered my counter. In the end he had Glen Elendra Archmage and Thundermaw Hellkite which sealed the game.

Game 3:
Turn 2 I played Farseek which hit his Force of Will. Turn 4 Tobias played Magus of the Moon leaving him 4 red mana and I had one green and three red mana. After 2 idle turns I drew Arc Trail. A few turns later, where I countered his Dig Through Time with a Cryptic Command,I played a 4/5 Tarmogoyf which got answered by Ral Zarek and a Forked Bolt. Game 1: I win the die roll and keep four lands, Spell Snare, Compulsive Research and Jace, the Mind Sculptor. So my first turns are scripted: I counter his two, cast Research on three and find Elspeth on four. He has Den Protector, which gets back Fauna Shaman. I can play Day of Judgment and Elspeth forces him to play creatures on the board. Eventually Jace puts me ahead in resources and winning becomes academic.

Game 2: I keep three lands, Engineered Explosives, Mystical Tutor, Negate and Misdirection. I decide to keep this hand. He starts with Kitchen Finks into Genesis Hydra for two. I just play lands. He finds Surrak the Huntcaller and I fall to seven life. I tutor for Terminus and wipe his board. After a Compulsive Research I do not find anything to handle his Acidic Slime and Dryad Arbor.

Game 3: I mulligan to another seven and keep four lands, Sensei's Diving Top, Humility and Day of Judgment. An early Fauna Shaman gets pathed and Jace, Architect of Thought forces him to play more creatures. He casts Natural Order to find Primeval Titan for Treetop Village. So my Humility is not optimal. Nissa, Worldwaker puts me under more pressure. Timely Reinforcements buys me time to resolve a Dig Through Time. I can handle his Nissa and Sphinx's Revelation puts the game in my favour. We play lots of extra turns while he is locked out with Moat and Humility until I find a victory condition.+

On turn 7, Promole has no cards in hand, 7 lands and DRS backed up by Tarmogoyf. I have 3 lands in play and 7 spells in hand. I then start to hit landdrops and cast Siege Rhino, followed by Karmic Guide, getting back Anafenza, the Foremost. This forces Promole to use Pernicious Deed. I started the game so he played turn 4 DT and I played EOT a Clique, in response he looted lftl away and showed me 2 lands. On my Turn 5 I did attack with Clique and added a Gideon to the board and just hoped that he wouldn't find a Reanimation spell with his top which was in play. He didn t and just tryed to make value with bazar, lftl and Wasteland, but my presure was huge. As he didn t found anything relevent he droped to 0, with counterbackup.

Second game: I just keeped a hand with Spell Snare 2 lands and some cantrips, but wasn t able to find another counter. My top was also countered by his Mental Misstep. He could resolve a Dack Fayden and some turns later baited me with a Demonic Tutor which was countered by my Spell Snare and followed up with an Dance of the Death on a P. Titan, which also searched for dark deepths combo. I had an restoration Angel and Dragonlord Ojutai in my hand paired with a land, which just offered no options so I conceded.

Third game: Well I thought about a kind of bad hand. Had enough lands and a turn 3 Tasigur followed up with a Vindicate on the play. Well if he can't reanimate something to fast I would be in good shape. In the end Gerry just drew realy bad therfore my hand was fast enough to win against his flood.

Joern now misses his landdrops for a couple of turns in a row while I resolve Karmic Guide, bringing back Shriekmaw, and killing Avacyn's Pilgrim. Recurring Nightmare lets me rinse and repeat to kill both Elves. A couple turns later my combo kill is disrupted by Joern using Qasali Pridemage on Pattern of Rebirth, which now clears the way for my Parallax Wave. The value Karmic Guide and Recurring Nightmare create is to much for Joern to compete with, and in the end Shriekmaw and Thragtusk deal lethal damage.

We both take a free mulligan. I start with island, mountain, maze, bolt, force, blood moon, spell pierce. Silberhase keeps ancient tomb, scalding tarn, signet, demonic, metalworker, minamo, sharuum on the play. He starts with ancient tomb into UW signet. I play my island and on the next turn bolt his new metalworker. He does nothing on his next turn and keeps mana drain open. I play maze as I haven't draw any other land up til now. He tries a fabricate which resolves for vault of whispers. I miss my landdrop another time and try merchant scroll which is drained. I expect a big turn now but he only plays thran dynamo and demonic. At this point he has mystical and sharuum in his hand. I finally draw my land and drain the sharuum on his next turn. My turn now consists of 2 moons and a dig through time, which finds ral zarek and a random spell. I don't think that his final card is still beefy, but he plays his mystical eot for stroke and I'm quite lucky with my lonely daze that counters a stroke for 6. At this point he concedes.

Game 2
=======
He keeps a bit risky hand with island, top, enlightened, thpoter foundry, sylvan scrying, talisman and power artifact. My hand is ok, but lacks a bit power with 4 lands, remand, fire/ice and top. He starts with top and finds his second land with looking on the next turn. I also play my top and draw 2 lands. He draws basalt monolith without having to use the enlightened and I haven't found any answers yet. So the monolith resolves, power artifact resolves and enlightened is remanded. Still I have no answer for the enlightened and die.

Game 3
=======
I keep 2 lands, ancestral vision, preordain, force, bolt, electrolyze, while he starts with 2 lands, ponder, sylvan scrying, brainstorm, chrome mox, voltaic key. I let the scrying resolve and save the force for better business. But his hand without threads only draw more mana. I eventually force tezzeret and play jace TMS. He plays yagmoths will for brainstorm but still finds only more lands and concedes right away.

Maqi (4c Blood) vs. goblinpiledriver (4c Scapeshift)

g1: (play) I have a fast curve start with Aether Vial into Fleecemane Lion, Gideon and Huntmaster. I overwhelm his mulligan to 6 easily.
g2: (draw) I have a slow curve and he has counters for everything. He Scapeshifts me in the end.
g3: (play) I don't have much besides DRS, Goyf, Cobra and Inquisition. DRS gets bolted, Goyf sticks and starts bashing for 4 a turn. My Inqui gets leaked. I drop Cobra. When he tries to clean my board with a Toxic Deluge for 5 I show him Dromoka's Command which saves my Goyf ftw ;)

2:1

Reports for Round 4:

Goblin Piledriver(Dimir-Scapeshift)  vs  Baghira(Abzan Pattern Rector)
2:1

Game 1:
I kept a hand with 2 lands, Sensei's Dvining Top, Condescend, Demonic Tutor and 2 expensive cards. Baghira started slow with Carrion Feeder and Wasteland, while I didn't found another land with the Top. As I had again 2 lands Baghira goes into his combo and it was over.

Game 2:
Baghira started this game with only 2 lands and played first turn Worldly Tutor for Sylvan Caryatid, later he played Wall of Roots and Demonic Tutor while I had Force of Will and Cryptic Command in hand and didn't counter anything. I couldn't cast the Cryptic Command due to a lack of blue mana, and I wanted to spare the Force for the final winning spell. After he played Demonic Tutor he directly layed down Thespian Stage. So really he had both cards for the 20/20 Marit Lage Token, where I had Mystical Teachings for Repeal for this Threat. In the follwong turn I played Demonic Tutor for Radiant Flames destroying two of his mana sources, so with the Thespian Stage and Dark Depths he totally lost 4 mana sources/lands. 2 turns I have enough lands for the final tutor into Scapeshift.

Game 3:
In this game I layed True-Name Nemesis turn 3. Additionally I had Rishadan Port and a few Counterspells, so Baghira couln't cast important spells. One turn before the end I countered his Siege Rhino and shot him with Lightning Bolt to 0 life.

Tazi (Izzet Control) vs Vazdru (4c Reanimator)
Reanimator has a high variance, in g1 it performed far above the average level. My starting seven were 3 Lands, Thought Scour, Animate Dead, Oath of Druids and Primeval Titan:
I won the roll and started with fetchland - go. Eot i fetched and Thought Scour sent Ashen Rider + Inferno Titan to gy   ;D. Turn 2 i played Animate Dead for Interno Titan. He had one Jump-Blocker with Vendillion Clique T3, Turn 4 he tried Jace, the Mindsculptor...but last unknown card for him (redraw for Vendilion Clique) was Force of Will    ::) for gg T5.
Game 2 I've had an awesome hand again: Mox Diamond, 3 Lands + Bazaar, Mana Drain, Tainted Pact. He had Scry-Land + Gitaxian Probe on the play. There were some draw-go action for a while since my Tainted Pact resolved...about 10th card till Life from the Loam was revealed which worked fine with Bazaar and furthermore added some dudes to the gy. Finally I've had the chance to reanimate Iona, who shuts down his blue spells. Of course he had Thundermaw Hellkite for a swing of nine damage, dropping me from 19 to 10 lp. I slow-rolled and sculpted my hand a bit and when he attacked with Dragon once more and tried to finish Iona with Lightning Bolt i've had Mental Misstep for his concession.

Thanks for the ggs!
Cya in the finals ;-)

Iulus with Green-Devotion 2
tollkroll with Izzet 1

Game 1: I mulligan to 6. He handled my Rofellos and Joraga Treespeaker and dropped Vendilion Clique, Flametonge Kavu and True-Name Nemesis while i stuck on 2 lands.
Game 2: He mulligans to 6 . Turn 1: Noble Hierarch, Turn 2: Utopia Spawl, Turn 3: Sylvan Libary 2x (Remand), Turn 4: Huntmaster of the Fells (Electrolyze), Turn 5: Nissa, Worldwaker, Turn 6 (nice one): Nykthos Shrine, Eternal Witness, Huntmaster of the Fells (Mana Drain) + Primeval Titan + 2 Lands. He played Mystical Tutor end of turn for Rolling Earthquake and wiped the board (he had 9 lp left). Turn 7: Hornet Queen + Dryad Arbor. He plays Jace Architect (+1) and I played Overrun Turn 8 for gg.
Game 3: We both kept. Turn 1: Forest, Turn 2: Rofellos (Daze), Turn 3: Voyaging Satyr, Turn 4: Strangleroot Geist (Spell Snare), Turn 5: Tectonic Edge + Birds, Turn 6: Acidic Slime destroyed his Mountain. He plays Vendilion Clique at end of my drawstep which reveals Primeval Titan, Surrak the Huntcaller and Forest. Turn 7: Titan gone, Surrak, the Huntcaller joinded the army and attacked (trade Clique for Slime). He played Flametonge Kavu for Surrak. Board: Satyr, Birds, 6 lands vs 4 lands + Flametongue Kavu. So topdeck no. 1: Turn 8: Flying 8/8 Dragonlord Atarka killded Flametongue Kavu. He played Glen Elendra Archmage. Turn 9: Thragtusk. He played Treachery while he was on 1 lp and added Dack Fayden to the board. So board looked like: 3 lands, Dragonlord Atarka tapped + 2 Islands untapped, 2 handcards, Archmage + Dack Fayden on his side and Tragtusk, Birds and 7 lands on my side, no handcard. Topdeck No. 2: Turn 10: Mistcutter Hydra for gg.

Silberhase (Artifact Combo) vs Payron (esper)

First game: i hold a hand with lands gerrats verdict and clique and snap caster and thought a while if i should keep it with 0 counterspells, but in the end mull on 5 on Silberhase's side was pretty good 4 me so i kind of locked him out of the game.  and clique was also pretty good presure.

second game: Well i had a thoughtseize, mana leak, fact 4 lands ... actualy awsome vs his deck, but only a tappen black source and he played turn 2 Timetwister. After that it was an easy game 4 him, with enough mana Muddle as counter and memory jar.

game 3: I had an pretty average hand with 1 counter enough lands, mystical tutor and dragonlord ojutai. He wasn t realy active the first couple turns and i countered a mana stone (miscalculation wouldn t counter anything else if he ramps up) and had nothing turn 5 then dragonlord which he answered it with ensnaring bridge, but i had my mystical tutor in my upkeep with concils judgment. he saved his bridge with cain of vaipors. ojutai connected and found cryptic command (but tapped out). he replayed his bridg, which i bounced with command at end of his turn but he could sac it some how (trading post?) and i could go in again and found fact or fiction with ojutai which sealed the game because it found me counterspell.

TaZi and me expected that there are no errors in Swiss final standings and played the Semifinal already.

Tazi (Izzet Control) vs. Vazdru (4c Reanimator)
g1: I've kept Mox + 3 Lands + Izzet Charm + Primeval Titan + Oath of Druids. I was able to reanimate Titan and dropped Oath of Druids while he tried to rerace with a few dudes. 0:1
g2: I've had T1 Thoughtseize and T2 Tainted Pact for Life from the Loam. When i tried to preasure him he had Venser for bounce Fattie and Bribery afterwards for Jin-Gitaxias and the win. 1:1
g3: He had Blood Moon and enough time for Bribery again for Iona stopping me playing black spells which sealed the deal although i've had 2 basic-lands in play, which should have worked even against Blood Moon in play. 2:1
g4: He keeps a weak hand which was revealed by Thoughtseize: Maze, Island, 2 Fetchies, Cascade Bluffs, Anger of the Gods, Cryptic Command which hit the bin. He had Mystical for Bribery again with 5 Lands in play but I've had Daze and a reanimated Griselbrand for 2:2
g5: There were some draw-go-action till he played Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker. I played Mana Drain which got countered by Force of Will and Sarkhan started hitting. 17 -> 13 -> 8. I've had Maze of Ith which should have been the turning point in this game but he slammed Rishadan Port and dropped me down to 4 lp. Meanwhile I've had Primeval Titan and Dark Depth-Combo online. So I've had 3 lines of play:
a) Second Maze for Defense (Thespian Stage)
b) 20/20 Token (Thespian Stage)
c) Makeshift Mannequin for Resolute Archangel to go back on 20 lp and probably the win in next turn too as he was on 10 lp.
As I've had Sensei's I was looking for Discard or at least Gitaxian Probe but can't find any, nevertheless I've tried option c) which was the wrong line in this case as he has hidden Counter Spell and Vendilion Clique as two last hand cards and Sarkhan finished me off one turn later. By hindsight I should have obviously tried to go line b) but it was late (and concentration died away) and I was in fear because of my low life-points, which let me choose the wrong play in this moment.

3:2 for Tazi

Thanks for the good games and gl in the finals!

TaZi 3-2 Kodobeast

Game 1
=======
I keep a hand with 2 lands, preordain, jace, shakles and magus. Kodobeast keeps, preordain, mana drain, price, dack fayden and 3 lands. I start with land, preordain and decide to keep a lightning bolt, though I'd rather like to have a land. But against his tempo creatures a bolt is really nice. He also preordains and I play merchant scroll for brainstorm after not having drawn a land. He keeps mana drain open but the brainstorm resolves and finds a temple of epiphany. He plays his dack which is rather bad for me. The dayk gets burned down, but jace, vryns prodigy and nivix cyclops follow and they stick. All of a sudden, his hand of price, magma jet, force spike and rolling earthquake looks rather good. And indeed I'm not able to handly the pressure in time when a spellheart chimera joins the team.

0 - 1

Game 2
=======
I keep young pyromancer, dig, jace architect and 4 lands, while Kodobeast mulls to keep jace, vryns prodigy, lightning strike, burst lightning, top, chimera and 2 lands. I start with young pyromancer on my second turn which is quickly burned. I draw spell pierce and play merchant scroll for force to gain tempo and maybe protect jace one turn. Next turn I try jace, which resolves as kodobeast has drawn electrolyze and tries to kill it eot. Jace found a glen elendra archmage for me, so I give him up to force the archmage through and be also protected against nobasic landhate, as I only control 2 mountains and 2 nonbasics with a completely blue hand. The game becomes a grind evetually. He works down my archmage, small jace, clique, Jace TMS, bribery on scabclan berserker (which deals like 10 damage after he is renown). Eventually batterskull sticks and sarkhan also helps.

1 - 1

Game 3
=======
we both keep our starting hands (me: venser, treachery, mental misstep, wasteland and 3 other ones, he: 3 lands, magma jet, izzet charm, miscalc, repeal). Now he starts with kiln fiend which gets arc trailed, magma jet goes to my head, which makes me happy but somehow I'm not able to handle dak fayden which is active on the next turn for about 10 rounds and eventually wins the game...

1 - 2

Game 4
=======
I have to come back again with a hand consisting of mental misstep, cryptic, preordain, dig, electrolyze and 2 lands. His starting hand consists of 3 lands, dack, fact, young pyromancer, lightning bolt. His first play is the pyromancer which is arc trailed. Again Dack hits the table but this time I have some business. He tries a fact which is met by cryptic which also bounces dack. So I gain momentum to cast bribery for true name on the next turn. This way he is able to dualcast (er mage) his own dig which nets him a ton of nice cards, but eventually he can#t kill me, but the True name nemesis kills him.

2 - 2

Game 5
=======
So it comes down to a Final of the Final... My hand: 2 islands, venser, jace architect, fire/ice, ponder, repeal. His hand after free mull: island, ponder, delver, fire/ice, dig, price, ruination. He starts with delver, which flips a mana drain immediately. At this point I drew an island and my ponder on the first turn also found a fetchland and hence red mana at least. Now I fear to take huge hits from the delver, but as kodobeast enters his first main phase and plays ponder I know, that he kept the somewhat shaky one-lander and has to find a land now, what he does. Nevertheless I'm able to fire the delver. He also had a second land in the ponder but has no additional business and price as well as ruination are quite dead. Mana leak counters my jace on my fourth turn and I check for more counterspells with vendillion clique. I see his hand of: ruination, price, dig, chain lightning, magus, dack. Everything may stay as it is and I resolve thundermaw hellkite which lets the clock tick rather fast. He has a barbarian ring in play and 7 cards in graveyard so I figure, that his play next turn should be: sac ring for 2 damage on the dragon, play dig to find a mountain, play mountain and chain lightning to kill the dragon. However it is quite late in the evening and he does it like that: dig through time, chain lightning on the dragon and trying to activate the barbarian ring. At this point I tell him, that he just lost his threshold and can't activate the ring. This makes him concede after a few moments of thinking.

3 - 2

we reconstructed a bit how the game might have played out and went to bed .
