Round 1

Senshuken (UWb) vs Peddy Frost (UR) 2:0

Game 1:
Early we trade land drops until Peddy goes for Back to Basics, which I can stave off.
Next he goes for Dig Through Time at my end of turn, which I answer with my own Dig Through Time.
I find Mana Drain and Elspeth, Knight-Errant and try to counter his copy, he counters back and resolves
Jace Beleren during his next turn. I am worried about his card advantage but Elspeth pressures his Planeswalker
and Rune of Protection: Red threatens to negate a lot of his future cards. He tries Vendilion Clique, Delver of Secrets
and Snapcaster Mage with a flashbacked Dig Through Time. After having seen three good creatures I cast Humility which
was in my hand from the beginning of the game. He is forced in to playing creatures supported by his Batterskull
which all get destroyed by Wraths and Mystical Teachings for Swords to Plowshares and friends.
Eventually I tutor for Jace, the Mind Sculptor to find Rest in Peace and Helm of Obedience
to win a long and hard-fought game one.

Game 2:

Our next game is very different. We fight over my Sensei's Divining Top early in the game, it resolves, and after wastelanding
his Faerie Conclave he is forced to put me under pressure. We have a big fight over Thundermaw Hellkite, which gets eaten by a Mana Drain.
From the mana I get Lingering Souls with flashback. After that my hand and the top of the library show counterspell after counterspell and
the spirits kill him in quick fashion.

G1: He won the roll and start. I mull to 6. - I sit on 4 lands and cant recover from his resolved Upheaval.

G2: I counter his early manastones because i know his hand (Probe) and leave him with just 2 Lands and big spells. The next turn I cast B2B to buy time to find all I need for combo.

G3: He had a good board with Acedemy - Ring action in Turn 5 .T6 i cast High Tide, but he uses Mystical Teachings to find Mana Drain. However, I use Flash of Insight to find Noxious Revival and combo the turn after that.

ps. plz let me know if those dropbox-links work for ya - it is my first try :-)

pps. damned - i could have won g3 with atarka's commando in response on mystical teachings - calculation is everything, i've thought i could find a creature or dd in my next three card but it has been lands  ;D  - on the other hand that mystical teachings lead to the top 4 cards of Tazi's library - as FOW showed up i was a bit surprised as it was the only card left which safes him from beeing dead on board and even though any card but land in the top 3 cards of my library would have won my the game either...

here is the small report. But I really recommend to watch the games, they are very exciting! All three are very close.

Game 1
=======
I start with 3 lands, sylvan library, crop rotation, repeal und ponder. Gerry keeps 4 lands, sylv lib, mindcensor, maelstrom pulse. Gerry plays land and I play land ponder. We both play our sylvan libraries but mine is destroyed by a qasali pridemage. I drew counterspell and snapcaster in the meantime and wait for enought land in play. I counter an aven mindcensor and gerry finds bloodbraid elf into SoFI, so suddenly there is pressure on the board. Snappy counters garruk and is able to block the bloodbraid. When I have 7 lands in play gerry doesn't know that I already drew mystical taechings, so her only wastes my 7th land and don't vindicates my 6th too, so that I am able to combo him out on my next turn.

Game 2
=======
I keep 4 lands, merchant scroll, electrolyze and sakura tribe elder. Gerry keeps 3 lands, demonic, fauna shaman, flametongue and obzedat. So the game starts without pressure for me again. Gerry draws mindcensor and is able to counter my tribe elder with it. I electrolyze it but gerry draws Green Suns Zenith for witness for mindcensor. I got everything for the combo, but gerry uses his shaman for a sin collector, then 3/4 angel and demonic for wasteland and suddenly I have no hand and an exiled scapeshift. I can stabilize the game once more, but after 3 rounds of land go I face a Domri emblem which eventually kills me.

Game 3
=======
Gerry takes a free mulligan and keeps 2 lands, confi, fauna shaman, sylvan lib, restoration angel, duress. I keep 2 lands, into the north, mystical tutor, coursor of kruphix, vendilion clique and merchant scroll. I play land and gerry's duress takes mystical. I play into the north and courser on my next turn which sees no land. I play probe for free, still no land. I the meantime gerry played his lib and finds a flooded strand and thoughtseize. So he is able to thougthseize me (taking into the roil) and play fauna shaman. I have serum visions on top and a sakura in hand. I hope to play a land... I see 6 more cards in my next turn, none of them is a land... the battle rages on for a while and I still have troubles to find more lands. Eventually I find the land and some weird mystical teachings which finds a force in the top 4 cards saves me the game (which is won by true name nemesis) which would otherwise have been lost.

Goblin Piledriver  (Abzan) vs  dsck  (4C-nonred-Goodstuff)
2:0

Game1:
I had a quick start with turn 1 Llanowar Elves; turn 2 Lotus Cobra, Fetchland and Eternal Witness. On my third turn I could assemble much pressure on the board with a classical Wilt-Leaf Liege plus a Scavenging Ooze. Meanwhile dsck could only play Sylvan Caryatid. But then on dsck third turn he played Lotus Cobra, Garruk Wildspeaker and a Beast token. Precombat I layed down Citadel Siege which pumped my Llanowar Elf to a 4/4 creature(with the bonus from the liege), I attacked leaving dsck only 2 life his Garruk and Sylvan Caryatid(I lost my S.Ooze). On dsck final turn he cycled Miscalculation and could had played Eternal Witness + Birds of Paradise, but he conceded.

Game2:
dsck had a screwed start with only 1 land and an Ancestral Vision, I had turn 1 Thoughtseize, turn 2 Green Sun's Zenith to Birds of Paradise, turn 3 Desecration Demon and turn 4 Duress(I choosed Mystical Tutor over Vindicate) plus a Sylvan Carytid. As dsck Ancestral Vision resolved he had finally three lands for a Vindicate to my Demon. My next threat was Obzedat, Ghost Council, which was handeled by Tainted Pact into Swords to Plowshares leaving him only 21 cards in his library. The next relevant card from my side was Sorin, Solemn Visitor, so I had Birds of Paradise plus a 2/2 flying vampire for dsck final 8 life. Then on dsck side appeared Brimaz, King of Oreskos. As I attacked him to 5 life (the 2/2 vampire with the +1/+0 ability), I destroyed his Braimaz with an Abrupt Decay and I played Bitterblossom for the long run. On the second last turn dsck played Courser of Kruphix and a Fetchland whitch only finds a tapped Temple Garden. To seal the game I layed down Surrak, the Hunt Caller which gave himself haste, dsck sacrifed his Courser and stabilized so his life. On dsck last active turn he played Scavenging ooze to gain Life. In the final turn Surrak gave the new Faerie Token haste and so with the +1/+0 ability from Sorin,S.V. there was enough damage on the board for the kill.

Maqi (4c Blood) vs. Promole (5c Goodstuff) 2:0

Game 1: I am on the draw and get a t2 Q. Pridemage into play. Promole has nothing and passes his turn to me with 3 lands untapped. I attack for 3 with the cat and play Treetop. He eots Vendilion Clique. I have Dromoka's Command which grows Pridemage to a 4/4 (because of the lingering exalted trigger) and let the cat fight the fae to death. He snags a Kolaghan's Command from my hand which is all gas nevertheless.

He plays Ajani Vengeant and locks my Pridemage down. On my turn I play my fourth land and drop Siege Rhino. He untaps and Council's Judgements my Rhino and shoots my cat with his Cat-walker (down to 2 loyalty), leaving U and R mana up.

I untap and attack Ajani with my treetop, leaving BW open to maybe counter a bolt he might have with Zealous Persecution. He has nothing and his Walker dies. He follows up with nothing and begins to flood. The next turn I drop Thrun (in favor of other threats mostly because of fear of counterspells). He has nothing and my team of Thrun + Treetop takes him down in two turns.

Game 2: He's on the play again and opens with scryland (leave on top). I have t1 Bloodcrypt => Thoughtseize and take a StP from his hand (the rest is Lightning Helix, Negate, Ponder and lands iirc). He draws his scried card which is Wasteland and destroys my Blood Crypt with it. Ponders also.

I untap and deploy Forest. He untaps and plays Creeping Tar Pit (not leaving open Negate). This in turn opens a window for my Sylvan Library (which is very important atm because I have no other lands). He untaps, plays a land and says go. I untap, draw three with Sylvan and pay 4 to keep Woodland Cemetery and Anafenza. I play my land and the Khan which is safe against Negate and Helix. It sticks. From there we go a little back and forth but I have the upper hand basically all the time and steadily add more pressure to the board. He complicatedly removes my Sylvan Library and my Anafenza by using Dromoka's Command (counter on Anafenza + sac enchantment) and using Forked Bolt + Helix to kill the 5/5. At some point he Kolaghan's Commands a Scavenging Ooze I added to the board before it could grow to a 3/3. Handily I have Loxodon Smiter for the discard. ;)

GGs to Promole. I just had draws that lined up very well against what he got.

Vazdru (4c blood) vs dsck (dark bant)

G1 Vazdru wins roll. He thinks his hand a long time and keeps, I feel like he has slow keep and mulligan my own slow hand and try to find hand with mana elf to accelerate. I find decent hand with lotus cobra and then my first draw is mana elf. Vazdru leads with turn 2 zenith for birds, turn 3 loxodon smiter. I go elf, t2 cobra + aven mindcensor which screws Vazdrus mana. Then i start beating in the air while deploying kitchen finks and other durdly ground creatures and add celestial colonnade to eat his life total in the air. Little later I draw into cruise which finds me dig through time which sets up win with cryptic command tapping his defence.

G2 Vazdru has no turn 1 elf while I have and curve into elf, qasali, edric, sword of feast and famine + geist of saint traft same turn. He has only black/green creatures and game is aven mindcensor to buy time for some form of removal to the sword but he draws only lands.

2-0 for me. I feel that 4c blood has the edge on this matchup because it has burn to stop my fast starts and reach to kill me before I manage to stabilize and take over with card advantage.

Round 2

Senshuken (UWb Control) vs GoblinPiledriver (Abzan) 2:0

Game 1:

The game starts with Avacyn's Pilgrim which gets countered by Mental Misstep. Nothing happens until turn four when Thrun, the Last Troll enters the battlefield. I answer with Elspeth, Knight-Errant summoning a Soldier.
Both die to Thrun with the help of Zealous Persecution and a 5/6 Tarmogoyf joins the troll. Because of Karakas on Piledriver's side Thrun threatens to return again and again, so I transmute Tolaria West for Wasteland and luckily find Wrath of God.
Thrun reappears next turn via Unexpectedly Absent and threatens a sudden death in conjunction with Citadel Siege on Khans. Dig Through Time helps stabilizing the board by finding Council's Judgment and Maze of Ith.
After having taken control over the game with Jace Beleren and Mystical Teachings for Snapcaster Mage. I am able to find Rest in Peace plus Helm of Obedience and can even tutor for Misdirection against a potential Abrupt Decay
but I am overeager and leave too little mana open to counter his Dromoka's Commmand! Very close to losing I can scrape a defense together with Supreme Verdict and Timely Reinforcements.
Celestial Colonnade prevents the defeat and attacks enough times for victory.

Game 2:

Early in the game we trade cards; Qasali Pridemage is put into the library via Oust, Knight of the Reliquary and Brimaz, King of Oreskos both get countered.
He follows up with some very impressive turns which are facilitated by Sylvan Library. Lotus Cobra into Fetchland summons Liliana of the Veil.
Swords to Plowshares sends his Cobra farming and Timely Reinforcements take a stance against the evil Planeswalker.
Supported by Vedalken Shackles the Soldiers take down Liliana, but Garruk Relentless poses a new threat. Fact or Fiction and Sphinx's Revelation pull me ahead in cards
and GoblinPiledriver can apparently not find useful cards with Sylvan Library.
I can nullify all creatures with Moat and Humility which gives me time to find Rest in Peace and Helm of Obedience.

2-0 vs captain kaiiak, Academy vs Blood

He wins the roll and needs to mull to 6. I can keep Top, Jeweled Amulet, Gilded Lotus, Batterskull and 3 lands.
I find Mind Stone and go for turn 3 Lotus, while his first play is BBE into Liliana of the Veil.
After several Top activations my best play is just Skull and go.
He plays Inquisition of Kozilek and makes me sac the germ, then uses Horizon Canopy to draw a card and attacks.
My Top finds Spellskite and I pass with mana up to bounce Skull, but he has FTK and attacks me to 8 (Lily at 3).
On Upkeep I use Academy Ruins to return Skite and replay both Skull and Skite.
Unfortunately, he manages to kill both my blocker with Resto (FTK) and Lily -2 and attacks me to 5.
I bounce and replay Skull, so he just attacks with Resto and adds Treetop Village to the board.
Finally, my Top finds Wurmcoil Engine and I can attack with Skull to live another turn, then play the Wurm.
Although he has Tec Edge for my Academy Ruins, I end up with a 7/7 deathtouch lifelink Wurm, which buys me enough time to find Tezzeret and Transmute Artifact.

Game 2 he has turn 2 Tainted Pact for Sword of FaF and turn 3 Tasigur, but I have Mana Drain into JTM and Memory Jar.
He does have Lightning Bolt for my Jace, but Jar and Tolarian Academy enable Gilded Lotus into Preordain (puts Yawg Will on top).
Sorin gets played and makes a token, but I have eot Repeal for the token, then Cruise, Lotus Petal, Demonic for Temporal Fissure, Tainted Pact for Wurmcoil and bounce 5 ftw.

In the end, he didnt have great draws and I got lucky.

Game 1
=======
The first game was really a blast and I really recommend to watch the replay (it starts only after a while so you have to fast forward for 3 minutes or so).
I start on the play with a nice hand consisting of brainstorm, spell pierce, wood elves and 4 lands. We play lands and brainstorm and on my third turn my hand is: elves, pierce, vendilion clique, truename nemesis, condescend and a land (3 lands in play). At this point I pretty convinced that the game will be a cake walk... then the problems are starting: I play the quite pacifistic wood elves and want to go for a tropical to keep up mana for spell pierce. But the elves are getting coutered and Senshuken plays lingering souls, which almost nullify my clique and still race my nemesis. On my turn I draw land, play the Nemesis, while he plays elspeth on his turn and I'm even further behind in the race. I draw another land, but still have only 2 blue sources, so I can't play clique and counter. I decide to keep counter mana open and play clique at the end of his turn if possible. On his turn he plays wasteland targeting one of my blue sources and I'm forced to play the clique in response. I see: Terminus, entreat the angels, moat and tolaria west. I'm happy to take moat, but he draws Humility!!! which renders not only the nemesis useless, but also the clique, while his elspeth produces the best guys in town each turn... Next turn I draw crop rotation and am at least happy, that I can condescend his flashbacked souls and still have one mana open for the rotation, should he decide to use is tectonic edge. On his turn he draws an untapped land, flashbacks his souls, I have to use all mana for condescend and he kills my badlands (and no thespian stage). I draw and play a land and pass the turn. He pumps with elspeth and I have to search for Maze with the rotation. He transmutes tolaria west for celestial collonade and plays it. I transform the stage into another maze but still face 3 tokens at 12 life. I draw  and play land again (6 in play now) and pass the turn. He draws merchant scroll and searches for dig through time, which I counter with my last card spell pierce. At this point I have no hand anymore and fear I'm losing in the next few turns. Then the following happens: I draw bonfire, which gives me a lot more time, he plays helm of obedience, and I draw mystical tutor, which is almost dead against the helm. Then I draw fire/Ice o.O and mana leak the next two turn and eventually ice his helm (draw snapcaster) play mystical and draw scapeshift. Now I have one more turn left to live vs. the elspeth token. So I rip the 7th land from the top and go off with mana leak backup (which is not needed). Phew that was very close.

Game 2
=======
Nothing really happens the first turns. I resolve a dig through time and play two kodamas reach. In turn 7 I have 9 lands in play and my hand is Scapeshift, force, mana drain, mana leak, blue card. I play scapeshift and win.

Maqi (4c Blood) vs. r4nd0m1 (UBG-Artifacts) 2:1

g1: Elf into Vindicate gains too much tempo and strips him of his only colored source
g2: Mulligan to 6 and a slow start from my side. First play is Smiter on t3. This is much too slow and I scoop to Temporal Fissure with stormcount 5 or something.
g3: Inquisition, Deathrite Shaman, Doran, Thoughtseize, BBE, Sylvan Library, Swords to Plowshares are enough to squeeze 20 in. He has Thopter Foundry and Tezzeret the Seeker but it's too late.

dsck dark bant 2-1 senshuken uw(b) control

G1 I start but I dont have turn 1 elf so my hand is little slow. I play qasali turn 2 fetching nonbasics because my hand demands too many colors to fetch bascis for. Senshuken plays top. I play knight, Senshuken flips top and stp's my knight and leaves UU open. on my turn I have 4 mana, jace, glen elendra, mana leak and gw command in hand and no more lands. i dont think i get to mana leak anything and making him pay 3 more for top doesnt seem great, what if he just lets it get countered and keeps counter mana open? So I play glen, he counters and plays back to basics :( I dont topdeck land for qasali and he removes qasali with council on his next turn.

G2 I have decent start with lotus cobra and edric demanding wrath from him, which he has. Then I zenith for voice of resurgence and try to pressure him. I clique him on my turn while he is tapped and take his terminus away leaving him with counterspells which he has had no opportunity to cast because of voice. He cant stabilize despite snapcaster because if he flashbacks wrath he has to tap out and my kitchen finks/voice token would finish him. He flashbacks swords to plow and hopes to topdeck wrath on his next turn. He doesnt.

G3 I keep 5 lands of which 1 was celestial colonnade, birds of paradise and ancestral vision. Risky but it works out as I topdeck clique, zenith for voice and geist of saint traft. Senshuken had misdirection for my ancestral and moat + lots of counters (incluing fow) in hand. He has interesting choice between searching for cryptic command with scroll or tapping out for terminus, hoping I dont have 5th land for colonnade. He chose the last line and I had the land. If he had 1 more life he could have cast moat and survived my clique hitting him but he had to fetch for 2nd white.

ok - as I know Tazi and promole played their match - here the report of mine ;)

KOdO13e4st (High Tide) vs Vazdru (4c Blood)

G1: I have a slow hand with Vial, 2x CC3 Critters, Obzedat, 2 lands + Mental Misstep. He takes mull to 6 and has only counterspells, withdraw and cruise. He tried to lock me with Withdraw + Back to basics but Obzedat + Vial on 5 was gg.

G2: He has Demonic, Personal Tutor early turns, I have Mystic Elves, Treetop, Sylvan Library which is obviously awesome against High Tide as I could draw some extra cards. BB-Elf + Lili joined the team. Nevertheless he was prepared to win next turn after Merchant Scroll on Mana Drain but I've had Tectonic Edge to get rid off his U-Sea to get one more turn for the win.

TaZi 2:1 Promole

Game 1
=======
My starting hand is 3 lands, wood elves, snapcaster, miscalculation and venser which sounds good to me. Promole keeps 3 lands, dromokas command, forked bolt, electrolyse and sylvan caryatid. We start playing lands, but promole draws only removal and I have no combo pieces in sight. So nothing happens and I slowroll my courser of kruphix because I fear it will be countered. Eventually (at this point I have 7 lands allready in play) he plays geist of st traft and I play my courser with double counterbackup. But now he is able to remove it anyway with his loads of removal and also to remove snapcaster and venser o.O and the Geist finishes me.

game 2
=======
I keep 2 lands, natures lore, sylvan scrying, brainstorm, giaxian probe and arc trail. Promole has also 2 lands, scavenging ooze, electrolyze, arc trail, kolaghan's command and condescend. We play lands and my second draw is tolaria west. So I try too keep it in hand and go for Dark Depths + Thespian Stage. He plays a sylvan caryatid on his second turn and keeps mana open on his third to play either electrolyze or condescend. So I see the chance to transmute the tolaria into a stage and play around the counter. He elcetrolyses eot and taps out for ooze, arc trail and senseis top on his turn. Now I can savely search for Dark Depths and play it with 2 mana open for the combo. At this point he has 1 unknown card in hand and the top. He says go with 5 mana open and I hope that he hasn't found a path or a swords and go for the 20/20 token. He flashes restoration angel into play but I draw fire/ice so there is no more turn for him to find another answer.

game 3
=======
I keep 3 lands, memory lapse, personal tutor, ponder, true name nemesis. He starts with baleful strix, bolt, jace, huntmaster and 3 lands, that don't produce black or red. He finds a fetchland for badlands on his first draw and plays the strix. I play my second land and keep mana open to lapse his demonic tutor. I cast True Name Nemesis on my turn. He goes for huntmaster, but I topdeck electrolyze to prevent the worst. I also finally found green mana and play ponder. At this point I have allready drewn scapeshift. The ponder finds a remand and I'm pretty confidant to resolve a scapeshift for 7 soon and deal the rest of the damage with True Name. He decides to go for jace, which is immediately killed by TNN and then his Siege Rhino is remanded and scapeshift for 7 resolves as planned.

My dark bant list, definitely can use some fine-tuning. Very light on blue so no Force of Will plus the meta didnt seem good for it. I would look room for Daze and add 1 or 2 more mana elves. Dromoka's Command was ok, but when you compare it to vindicate/maelstrom pulse which deal with anything its pretty lackluster. I havent looked yet if there was something in Origins that would be good here.

TaZi 3:2 dsck

game 1
=======
I start with 3 lands, yavimaya dryad, goyf, breath of darigaaz aand repeal. dsck has bant charm, swords to plowshares, noble hierarch, wasteland and 3 other lands in hand. I kill the hierarch with the breath and play goyf on the next turn which is immediately sworded. Then my single green source is wasted and I have only steam vents for a lands. He plays oreskos which is quite a serious thread as I haven't found another land and can't play jace. Also on my next turn I don't find another land, but can only suspend ancestral vision. Eventually the game goes on for quite a while but I have to few lands all the time. I die like 10 turns later with 6 lands in play and 6 cards still in hand.

0:1

game 2
=======
I keep 2 lands, brainstorm, goyf, bolt, wood elves and jace. He keeps 5 lands, avacyn's pilgrim and oreskos. I start with tropical into brainstorm, while he draws thrun and plays his elf. I find probe and a fire ice with the brainstorm and can safely play the goyf, as I know he will play oreskos which I can kill together with the pilgrim with bolt and fire ice. Thats how it happens. From thereon I allways know his hand and draws two more lands a deathrite and a clique. In the end that is not enough against the goyf, my own clique and breath of darigaaz

1:1

game 3
=======
I keep a beatdown hand again with goyf, TNN, spellpierce, cryptic command and 3 lands. He mulls and keeps 2 GW lands, 1 elv, witness, mystical, siege rhino and ancestral visions. He starts with the elf and atks with it on the second turn. I play my goyf and he does nothing on his thrid turn. He continious to be quite screwed and slow and eventually I may chose between scapeshift and nemesis beatdown.

2:1

game 4
=======
We both mull once. I keep brainstorm, impulse, into the north, tolaria west, Dark Depths and to ther lands and hope to have a quick 20/20 maybe. Dsck keeps two lands, elf, smiter, edric, eladamris call and jace TMS. He starts with the elf, into edric for which I have no answer. I play ponder on my first, into the north on my second turn and he swings to draw 2 cards on his third turn. Then he plays caryatid and wastes my third land. On my turn I play eternal witness and think about what to take. Eventually I decide to take ponder and not the land as I still have Dark depths and tolaria west in hand. I happens that he plays sowrds to plowshares on the witness and adds voice of resurgence and another elf to the board. On my turn I draw breath of darigaaz, nice one... if I would have taken the land with eternal witness... this way I can't kicker it and succumb a few turns later to massive card advantage.

2:2

game 5
=======
The final game was a really thrilling one. But eventually the cockatrice server died, when I was writing this and killed my replay just in time... As I remember the game was pure beatdown again where dsck had a TNN and I had a goyf. After the goyf was killed he was at 6, I played a coiling oracle and a yavimaya elder. He had only TNN and 5 lands on the board. On his turn he plays witness for fetchland, went to 5, played knight of the reliquary and beat me down to 6 with the nemesis. That was all that I had hoped for. I played arc trail on his witness which also included 2 damage for him, bringing him down to 3. Venser bouncing the knight then won me the game as the beasts "yavimaya elder" and "coiling oracle" pushed the last 3 damage.

3:2

Now I' looking forward to a nice league final (maybe a rematch of the last one ?)

Finally - after resolving technical difficulties on my side - we were able to play.

Maqi (4c Blood) vs KOdO13e4st (High Tide)

I choose to play.

g1: I have Sylvan Library and two lands. Between three Library activations, 8 life spent and one resolved shuffle through GSZ I finally find my third land on turn six... He combo's me out on his sixth turn iirc.

g2: I have a quick start of Fyndhorn into Courser. He has Withdraw but I rebuild fast by replaying the Elf and a Tidehollow Sculler. The turn after, I drop Sword of Feast and Famine, equip it to the Sculler and attack. With the untap trigger on the stack I feel good because I can drop Ajani afterwards and lock one of his Islands down (he is tapped out at the moment). Then Cockatrice crashes and we can't get back into the game. I ask him if he will give me the match. Since I saw his hand with Sculler I'm almost 100% sure I would have won the game. He agrees and concedes the unfinished game like a true sportsman.

g3: I have Vial, Ooze and Duress but a rather slow hand with not much else. I lead with Vial. He then "counters" my Duress with a Brainstorm. The game drags on from there. I resolve BBE into Thoughtseize. Then he Twisters. After that I resolve an Ajani and drop a Thrun through the Vial. Then I add Elspeth. He Turnabouts to buy time but cannot find the combo in time.

g4: I have T1 Bird, T2 KotR. He has T3 B2B. I wiggle free by searching for a Swamp with the Knight, Demonic for a Plains and Path to Exile my Knight in response to his Jace, TMS trying to bounce it to get a Forest. So with BoP and three basics I can play a rather normal game. My Falkenrath Aristocrat gets rid of his Jace the turn after he uses the bounce, so he could not get value out of the walker. Nevertheless, his B2B just bought him enough time to combo me out after two more turns or so.

g5: My T1 Deathrite accelerates into a T2 Aven Mindcensor. He has T3 B2B again, but I consciously fetched a basic so that I can Pulse his pesky enchantment with my DRS + basic + one untapped land. His Hand has Mystical and Demonic and Dizzy Spell and is therefore super cold to my Aven. He dies to an eot Bolt, DRS activation, my attack step (through a Dizzy Spell for -3/-0) and a final Kolaghan's Command to finish him off.

3:2

I took some mulligans during the games, but didn't have to go down to six. So no Scry-mulls needed this time.

Thanks KOdO13e4st for the (in my opinion) very good games!

Finals

Maqi (4c-Blood) vs. TaZi (UGr-Scapeshift)

g1: I choose to play because of swiss standings. My hand is Savnnah, Horizon Canopy, Tec Edge, Noble Hierarch, Kichen Finks, Aven Mindcensor, Vindicate. So, very good. Especially on the play.

I lead with Noble => Finks to have the maximum amount of damage output first and plan on "getting him" with the Aven a little later. On turn three after attacking I deploy a drawn Elvish Mystic and pass with three mana up. He EOT cracks his Flooded Strand and walks right into my Aven.

He has Breath of Darigaaz to kill off my elves. I then just do nothing but attack for the next few turns. Partly because I can't and partly because I don't want to either. Since I know TaZi is UG-based, his hand is very likely stuck with countermagic and other "fluffy" stuff. I want him to make the first move (Xenagos, the Reveler at the ready to jump in if needed).

He has not much but a lone Into the Roil to buy time (targeting my Finks) but it is not enough and he succumbs to the beats.

1:0

g2: I mull a hand of fetchland x2, Reflecting Pool, Duress, Tidehollow Sculler, Lightning Helix and FtK. The hand is kind of playable since it has all the mana I need and a proactive t1 and t2 play but not much else. Early discard is ok against his deck but not exactly backbreaking because he has high redundancy. This hand just doesn't have the clock I like against Scapeshift and that's why I ship it.

The next one is pure gold again whatsoever: Llanowar Wastes, Temple Garden, Deathrite Shaman, Voice of Resurgence, Qasali Pridemage, Eladamri's Call and Vindicate.

He goes Island go and I deploy DRS. He Bolts it on his next turn and adds Ancestral Vision. I drop Voice to ward against potential counters. He mainphases Vendilion Clique (because of Voice) and takes away my Vindicate. I draw Scavenging Ooze and Thrun once I draw for my turn.

I attack my Voice into his Clique and he declines to block (I would have been fine with a trade, since I have gas to pump up the Elemental). Second main, I drop Sc. Ooze and think for a while if to use it right away (with him being tapped out) and playing around Fire/Ice and Electrolyze or playing around Snapcaster (Bolt) and leaving open G. I decide to use it right away because this plays around two of his cards while Snappy is only one.

Sure enough he has the Mage on his turn (topdecks it even!!! Now that I'm watching the replays... :) ) and Bolts my Ooze. Then swings with the Clique and drops Dark Depths (danger...). I draw Courser of Kruphix for my turn and choose to play it over Thrun and Pridemage (with E. Call still in hand). I want to develop my land base but am content enough with Tainted Pact sitting on top of my deck since it is an out to his Marit Lage.

I attack with my Voice and he trades with his Snapcaster. On his turn he drops E. Witness, buys back a land and plays it. Then says go with both his creatures untapped (offering a 1:2 trade on Courser or a 1:1 trade on the Elemental).

I think long for my attacks since Tainted Pact now offers me the possibility of Arc Trail/Zealous Persecution for quick pressure. But I think it will be more valuable as a reactive tool to ward against his Marit Lage. Especially because his Ancestral Vision will go off next turn, I don't think my board will be fast enough. I offer a 1:2 trade with my attacking Courser after deploying my Q. Pridemage. He takes it.

He draws 4, drops a land and passes with 5 mana up. I EOT E. Call. He let's it resolve. I fetch Aven and plan for a longer game. I'm kind of liking my spot because my creatures (Q. Pridemage and Elemental) have free reign. But at the same time he dangerously approaches seven lands and any tutor on Thespian Stage can be problematic.

And that's the moment (with me being tapped out so I can't also play Aven EOT) he Crop Rotates for the Stage. Good that I still have Tainted Pact. Then on my drawstep (I draw Thoughtseize!) he summons Marit Lage (leaving UU up). I'm not exactly sure why he chooses this moment.

I Seize him, which gets Memory Lapsed and then dig deep for Path to Exile to exile his token (about 30 cards left). I attack him.

On his turn he topdecks his needed 6th land for Primeval Titan (ouch, I have no out to this at the moment...). He gets Maze and Raging Ravine.

On my turn I draw... Liliana of the Veil. Nice! That Titan is gone. I attack again.

He takes down my Lili with his Ravine and adds Sakura-Tribe Elder. Then passes. I draw Duress, cast it and see Solemn Simulacrum and Electrolyze. The burning cantrip is gone. And he chumps with his Elder and gets a Mountain with it through my flashed in Aven.

He chooses not to play Solemn into my Aven and passes. I add Thrun and swing. Maze stems the bleeding and Ravine trades with the Elemental, but he is getting low.

He topdecks Fire/Ice to get rid of the Aven and drops Solemn.

Now I make a severe misplay. My board is Thrun and Q. Pridemage. He has Maze and Solemn. We both have one card in hand. His card is unknown to me. I have Tidehollow Sculler.

I am kind of too curious of what he is holding and play the Sculler pre-combat... This is so bad, since he gets another free topdeck by the soon dying Solemn. He only has Cultivate, which I grudgingly take.

I nevertheless have to attack with Thrun, take the Exalted trigger from the Cat Warrior, sac it to kill the Solemn and hit him down to 1.

He drew Coiling Oracle from the Solemn (which I could have snagged with my Sculler :( ) and Sylvan Library for the turn. So he would basically be dead already. However, the Oracle finds him another Oracle (of Mul Daya). So, two blockers and a Maze...

Nice. I think I might lose now but even through Sylvan Library, Mul Daya landdrops and Impulse he cannot find anything in time which can stop my Thrun. A timely topdecked removal on my side ends the game two turns later. Phew... dodged the bullet.

2:0

g3: I open a hand of 5 land, a Sylvan Caryatid and Siege Rhino. This might be a shaky keep against RDW but certainly not a keep at all against Scapeshift. I mull and fan open this: 3 fetches, BoP, Sc. Ooze, Loxodon Smiter, Siege Rhino. Very good pressure hand but not much disruption. Definitely a more than fine keep though.

He opens with Misty Rainforest and I draw... Wasteland! I open Bayou, BoP. He (rightly) fears Aven Mindcensor and fetches EOT for Breeding Pool. Then on his turn he adds Valakut.

Perfect! This indicates a shaky land draw on his side and my Wasteland might just take him out completely (backed up by the tempo gained from the Birds).

I'm thinking about whether I should drop Smiter or wasting his Pool now and dropping Sc. Ooze. I choose the latter because I could just completely wreck him if he has no other blue (or green), which is a little likely because he didn't fetch a basic with his UG-fetchland.

He only has Rishadan Port and Mountains for the next few turns. In the end, Smiter and Rhino join the party and beat down savagely. On his 5th turn he finds an Island and Electrolyzes my Sc. Ooze. But my Thoughtseize takes his last board-interactive spell (Into the Roil) and leaves his hand only with counterspells and Treasure Cruise (which will leave him very little mana next turn).

He finds nothing and concedes to my lethal force.

3:0

Thanks to Vazdru and hitman for organizing the HLL. And thanks TaZi for the nice games! Now we're 1:1 in finals! Maybe we can repeat again, would be nice!

I hope this wasn't too long and too much a wall of text for you. Let me know if these kind of step-by-step reports are appreciated or if I should focus more on specific decisions and abbreviate the rest.
