i agree with christophO, that the watchlist needs to be bigger. this does not mean, that we should ban or unban more cards. but as has bean said: some cards just vanish out of sight and rot in the banned part.
i don't know if entomb will make reanimator too good. maybe. but other decks have very good cards too (tolarian academy in artifacts; mana drain in blue decks;...)
but libray of alexandria is safe to unban (or at least watch). the format moved from the grindy decks to mostly very fast, or goodstuff decks.

i too think, that some cards are too long on the watchlist/banlist.
for example library of alexandria: i don`t think that it would be format defining as it may have been some years ago. the speed of the format is much faster than it was back then.

Hey,
i have been really satisfied with your work until now (Maybe the desicison to ban the highlander mulligan was not so good, but that has do be discussed elsewhere), and now you have chosen to elect a new member to the council. Could you please give a reasoning, why you chose someone, who does not play our format on a regular basis and is working as a judge an therefor is bound to the officel wotc-policiy?

i think you have to ask yourself how your deck wants to win. is it with fast creatures or by controlling the game and than win with your big creatures? i would suggest fast creatures. therefore you will need to cut some of the expensive ones to lower your manacurve and remove some lands. 36 is too much in an aggro deck.

i play this deck for over 3 years now. sometimes with counters, sometimes with more ramp. i think counters are better, because they work good in all stages of the game. this deck is not very good in a 1on1 game. but even there it can do some nice stuff. over time i cutted many cards which did not fit the theme of the deck (wich is bounce/blink). i even cutted sword and path. nearly all the creatures have an etb effect, so i can abuse the bounce and blink spells and generate huge card advantage.

some cardchoices might not seem obvious. i will explain some of them:

-galepowder mage: one of the 3 creatures without etb-ability. but he does alot: blink blocker and hit for 3, but mostly blink my own creatures.
-Mistmeadow Witch: one of the 3 creatures without etb-ability. even better than galepowdermage, as i can blink more often in lategame and even protect my best creature.
-fieth empath: as plunder mage got released i thought about it, but than i saw that this is just better.
-Erratic Portal: just one mana more than the shard
-Voyager Staff: another card which blinks my guys. costs 1 mana, sun titan can get it back.

on Life from the Loam:
i think we need loam back. just one card to reanimate your lands (crucible, i do not count the bad ones)is not sufficent.
why not just ban the cycle-lands (the 5 which cycle for 1 mana)? no one plays them when loam is banned, at least not in competetive decks.and if you can only cycle your 2 mana cycle-lands the loam engine becomes much less effective. and without library and the good cycle lands, loam wont dominate control mirrors.

i think that he had the german meaning of "redundant" in mind. which is, as he explained with his examples, that something occurs over and over again. that something of the same kind(here: the beaters with cc1 and cc2 )is there very often.

goblinPiledriver (rb gobos)vs cedzoh (GWr tokens) 0:2

game 1: he starts.he plays vortex and zo-zu. i play some manaramp in the form of enchantments. he can`t attack me because of rector. i later get sarkhan vol and start pumping it up. when he attacks into rector, i get goblin bombardement, which activates promise of bunrei. the tokens shoot him down in response to his char.

g2: he starts with t1 goblin guide (after 4,5 attcks from it i reveal my firts land). on my t2 i play broodhatch nantuko. nantuko prevents his 3 power guy from attcking and i block the guide to get 2 tokens. meanwhile he is a bit colorscrewed and is forced to use a tutor to find a mountain. on my turn 4 i play conquerors pledge. some token die to his attck, the other get pumped up to 6/6 thanks to cradle and mirror entity. he takes 18. and dies 2 turns later.

cedzoh 2(WGr Tokens) vs peeler 1(uw control)

g1: this was epic:
i play nest invader, he plays wall of omens. i than play a fecudity (which will help me draw all but around 30 cards out of my deck). he plays an intuition for 3 card draw spells and gets future sight to hand. he evokes mulldrifter and draws 3. i play crop rotation for cradle and play miraris wake. he claers the board with winds of rath. i try to pla ajani goldmane, but he counters it with FoW (discards future sight). he than plays back to basics (i have 2 basics in play). i play nothing, he plays trisk. eot i play scatter the seeds and gain some life with auriok champion. the 3 saprolings hit him for 6. he plays contagion engine. when i try to play elspeth tirel, he counters it. saprolings hit him for 3. he proliferates my team away and hits me for 5 with trisk. i play a cloudgoat ranger and he plays sphinx of jwar isle and maze (which i run into with my pumped ranger). i play spawning pit. he plays academy rector. and instaed of playing marshal coup right away, i attack and he destroys my wake with a tutored seal of cleansing. after combat half my mana is gone... but he went to 5 life. i start drawing wild growth effects and rebuild my mana (back to basics is still there). finally i play sterling grove and search earthcraft. some time after i can resolve martial coup, i also resovle mirror entity. he removes my spawning pit with o-ring. and claers the board again, this time with wrath of god. i draw cards the whole time with fecundity. i try to play sacred mesa (which would have comboed with earthcraft and fertile ground) but he has mana drain. he bounces his engine with venser and kills my team again. i can still play riths charm and tutor for deranged hermit eot. he concedes.

g2: not epic at all:
i play top turn 2, he plays back to basics turn 3. i could not get my earthcraft (which would not have doen anything, cause i had just 3 non-basics) in play and my 2 soldier tokens can`t handle jace 2.0.
i concede when i fateseals away 2 lands in a row.

g3:
top again turn 1 for me. turn 2 spawning pit. he gets azorius guildmage, which beats me for 2. i play wild growth. and turn 4 cloudgoat ranger. turn 5 i play nullmage shepherd. in his 5th turn he plays winds of rath. make 2 spwan tokens eot. he goes to 16 and plays elspeth 1.0 and maze. i play cobra trap eot. next turn i attack with 6 creatures and play the "run" half of hit and run. he takes lethal damage.
