Eldrazi deck!

This deck is purely for the Timmy that lurks in many of us. I have no ambitions of getting this to true competitiveness, but hey good fun all around. (Besides, preliminary playing around the kitchen table suggests that - like many slow decks are - it could be good for multiplayer games.)

Well, oath comes to mind.

Also, lightning greaves seems like overkill, IMO.

Did you consider seething song?

How about sneak attack, corpse dance?

I know you like keeping this in budget realm: but city of traitors, ancient tomb

I know it's not a very useful post.. but i believe most of those are ROE cards, and i haven't patched my MWS up to ROE... sorry. But i'm guessing you have all the token generators

Oath... perhaps, but this deck is not that slow in putting creatures out, and plus if I'm doing well with Eldrazi tokens then it just triggers the other guy. Plus, more than half the creatures are utility, not Eldrazi.

Seething Song... I like this - a lot. Will look for a slot for it.

Sneak Attack and Corpse Dance... I have neither, and not crazy about either anyway due to the sac effect. Yes, one attack by an Eldrazi is big, but I want it/them to stay in play, if possible, to (a) continue threatening, or (b) at the least require the other guy to expend resources in removing it.

City of Traitors... ? Good if it's a late land draw (last 2 mana needed for that Eldrazi in hand), but early on mostly a dead card, no?

Ancient Tomb... not bad. Don't have any. Would, or will, probably try it, but since this is a slow deck and I am likely to be a reduced life total by the time it does its thing, kind of risky I am thinking. (Plus, if it's an early land, too hurtful in early/middle game, I fear.)

Also, lightning greaves seems like overkill, IMO.

Indeed? It provides an immediate threat, prevents removal/tapping/bouncing etc. etc. Actually, this is the most recent addition to the deck.

well, not knowing half of the cards is hard to say how easily/often you get to cast an eldrazi, it's just a matter of testing. You don't need to play those on the first turns. Also there are things like sandstone needle, etc...

I know this is more casual than your usual decks, but if you're able to hardcast a 10-15 CMC creature, you're probably winning :P, but i guess i'ts ok, if you're always getting STP, or PtE... But i think it's one of those cards that takes the focus out of the deck, IMO.

I love the idea of casting Emrakul for 5... too bad adding 2 new colors for only 1 card is more than I'm willing to take on... ;)

i see that you found yourself a bayou + stomping ground which gives you a more stable mana base, specially if you get ONS/ZEN fetches.

Fair enough... unfortunately my memory goes from bad to worse, but something like...

-Broodwarden +Soulbright Flamekin
-Chrome Mox* +Dark Ritual
-Cruel Edict +Consuming Vapors
-(1 basic land I think)  +Seething Song

the additional of the dual lands, as you have observed (both fetchable by Silverglade Elemental, interestingly...), in place of... basic lands?

*Initial playtesting with my son suggested that too often the only other cards in hand along with the Mox were colorless, rendering it dead.
